A scam? I got 7 free synths for my Hunter by just doing a couple of quests 5 on my Warlock And 5 on my Titan. Your not meant to make every single armor into ordaments. Get over it.

 • And you will never get those again. Past that, it's all the stupidly long, needlessly complicated, clearly monetarily motivated transmog. That may be fine for people who only want like 1 or 2 looks, but plenty of people wont settle for that.

 • Transmogs are a basic feature in MMOs and RPGs. They are never caped. Bungie turned a basic feature into a long grind. They caped the feature. They charge real money to skip the long grind and cap that they created. This is a scam. If you do not wish to transmog all your armor that is cool. You are free to play the way you want to. However, you should not act like selling people a basic video game feature piece by piece is a good deal.

 •
so? I cant figure out why people need 200 ornaments
There are people that get so into it and have no self control and will buy it all.. thats my real problem... draining money from people that have a sort of addiction to stuff like this. Its not helthy and i can not for the life of me support these types of business practices.

 • then that would be their issue for lack of control. no one else's. there aren't enough sets that look worth transmog for people to act as if they are being stifled, not enough that look good that spenders will shell out for. people will unlock a few sets and stick with them in reality.

The few people that do this is not there fault, because bungie designed it this way.i dont understand why you blame the player for how bungie made this dumb system, transmog in lets say world of war craft its never been monitized, so i dont see why they had to montize d2 armor they already have evervurse and the skins and armor there, we cant farm synth weves, this system was designed to be predatory for players with that personality. Im not gonna blame the player, its on bungie for there shitty system.

 • We love victim blaming for addiction issues, don’t we?

 • that sounds so stupid. that's not a victim or blaming. the person who does a thing is the cause of their issue. no one makes someone do it, it's person choice to which personal accountability must be held.

 • Addictions are seen by some researchers and organizations as a disease, not a choice. https://www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org/external/2019/03/is-addiction-a-choice/ However, the decision to “use” a substance (in this case, a video game) does come from somewhere. Behaviour is a complicated interaction between genes, environment, and perception of personal situation (Pinel & Barnes, 2018). The same way there are risk factors for for physical disease, risk factors also exist for addiction in several domains, such as family life, such as peer, family, and socioeconomic (National Institute on Drug Abuse, 2011). These factors increase the likelihood of an individual engaging in harmfully addictive behaviours. Addictions happen for a reason, and models of addiction that remove blame also remove responsibility (Disease model of Addictions) and models that suggest the addict is at fault for their addiction (Choice model of Addictions) both have their strengths and limitations. Pickard (2017) reviews a proposed “Learning model of Addiction” that puts a level of responsibility on the addict, saying they have to want to change in order to do so, but also understands the addiction process and is respectful to the addict without subjecting them to societal shame. Whatever your values are, I don’t think it’s fair to say addictions are 100% the fault of the addict. However, an addict does have a level of responsibility in their recovery, but should not be subjected to blame and shame. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5486507/ https://www.drugabuse.gov/publications/preventing-drug-use-among-children-adolescents/chapter-1-risk-factors-protective-factors/what-are-risk-factors Pinel, J, & Barnes, S. • I've stated how I see it, without applying shame to anyone. personal accountability is indeed the bottom line.

 • Do you drink or smoke or gamble? People that do support what other people are addicted to. But nobody is gonna stop what they do because others don’t have control over themselves.
