New Player Feedback (TLDR at bottom of post)

Hello all, I just recently picked up the game when it was on sale on Steam and have honestly been having a blast with the game and decided to share my thoughts on my experience. First some history. I played D1 when it first came out but never stuck around long enough to get to the DLC (I have heard that is where it really got good). I tried D2 when the open beta happened but it didn't grab me enough to but the game at launch. I started my warlock when new light came out but fizzled out after I did Red War and went back to feeding my Overwatch addiction (its a real problem). I have always like the game and would check in on the lore and various story points every now and then (thank you byf). First I would like to talk about the things I have been liking. The gun play still feels awesome, even better on mouse and keyboard. Not that I need to tell you guys but everything in the Forsaken DLC is fun. Super easy overall to play with my friends in various activities. So far everyone I have met in game has been super helpful if I have questions or was new to some activity. Wanted to start with the positives because I have quite a few negatives, keep in mind i do like this game but these are just some problems I have. First what the heck is with all the disconnect issues!? I have been having trouble just getting to the tower sometimes. Not an issue I would expect from a 3 year old game. Next shotguns, these seem a little over tuned for PVP. There isn't anything else to compete in that space so I almost feel like I need to run a shotgun to cover all the tight corners of the maps. Scout rifles dont quite feel like they do enough damage to pick them. Like I get that I should lose a fight to a sniper if we both hit headshots but if they body shot why cant I 2 tap them for a kill. Idk maybe that one is a bad idea. Okay here is the big one. As a warlock player your class ability is not fun. Useful perhaps but in a game where moving is such a big thing standing still feels terrible. I like the idea of the healing vs dmg buff but why can't I either apply it to myself or a teammate on the move? Or if you want to git rid of the healing dmg boost all together give every subclass Icarus dash to encourage warlocks to be the super awesome airborne space wizards they are meant to be. TLDR: Game is super fun but please fix the disconnect issues and STANDING STILL IS NOT FUN IN THE MAGIC SPACE WIZARD GAME!
