Took the bow into the Shattered Throne. With a set of old school dreaming city armor, it didn’t even one shot a goblin, and that’s just sad. The whole kit of the bow is that it’s a pinnacle reward for fighting the taken. I understand that it was broken. I understand it was “fixed” but it has set the precedence that bows are no longer powerful enough to be set apart from scouts. I think the balance has swung too far in the other direction.

Rip wishender. Was really fun to use. Needs a buff badly. Not broken but an exotic buff.

Edited by PHandsome45: 1/28/2020 4:46:21 PMI feel like Bungie should give wish-ender a purpose in PvE like bonus damage to taken and scorn enemies.

Edited by ohmygoshduh: 1/27/2020 9:48:24 PMThey are having trouble killing you in pve, so they are trying to get around the game just having to cheat, (which it does now) to get the job done. Look for more nerfs or tougher enemies. It does not matter, the results are the same. Or, they could just keep cheating to kill you.

Edited by Corrick II: 1/26/2020 10:58:00 PMI’m tired of weapons being “balanced” (i.e. ruined) just to cater to stupid game modes like Gambit. It was bad enough that every powerful weapon in the game was subject to the whim of PvP nerfs, then Gambit introduces even more infuriating PvP mechanics to trigger players and instigate even MORE nerfs. This is an experiment. A psychological experiment, that is the ONLY thing that makes sense if you try to explain Bungie’s game design decisions.

Like i said, for the first time ever, i love to use a bow in Gambit. It helped me to get the Hush (as collection). Now with this nerf, i don't feel that Bow has any place in my loadout. Except dragon breath.
-
The should make this simple.. Nerf all PVE enemies damage by 5-10%
-
I dont even think it was too strong with the bug. It couldn't one tap a guardian. Sure ot could melt majors... But its the highest impact, longest draw time bow in the game. And its an exotic. Im not going to say whether i feel its a bug fix or a nerf because it can go both ways tbh. But the damn thing felt like an exotic. Sure everyone was using it but could you blame them. A item they busted their ass for was finally viable since it had been released. Everyone was finally using it and having fun. Wish enders damage it wayyyy to low to justify taking an exotic slot.
-
Exotic bows suck in PVE. They need a damage buff across the board.
-
I still need to earn that weapon and that sniper on IO lol

Edited by CaptainW1nky: 1/26/2020 7:51:53 PMWhen bungie "fixes" things they typically destroy them... that's why I really hate people that constantly post nerf this this this this this........ Personally the "bug" made it feel like an exotic. But I guess exotics are supposed to be on par with legendaries soooooo what's really the point in having exotics? May as well make everything a legendary.
-
Bows in general are trash since Shadowkeep when they blanket nerfed crit damage. Very sad since year 2 my favorite weapon was subtle calamity...now it hardly ever get used.
-
I really enjoyed pve content with the broken wish ender, it was fun. I could run a combination special and power weapons and be competent in any activity. Now I’m back to Iznagis and Recluse with my heavy being the only weapon I rotate for top end pve, sigh....

Not a pinnacle, its an exotic. But yes It should do Much more damage...ESPECIALLY against taken enemies like its perk describes.

Edited by thadarksoul: 1/27/2020 10:59:19 AMJust be happy you got to experience it in all it’s broken glory. There’ll be another broken weapon soon enough. I think that’s the “had to be there moment” they speak of.

The easiest fix for Wishender would just be to make the entry do full damage and the exit do full damage in pve. Bows in general need a pve damage buff.
-
It one shots red bars. Sorry you missed. Yellow bars were being oneshotted during the bug - that's an issue.
-
Back in the vault it went 😑👎
-
It's just a yellow legendary sword that pops eggs... ...but it does have wallhacks.
-
Lol not a nerf a bug fix my ass. Bug fix is cleaning up textures or missing quest step or returning something to its intended use. Wishender was always stronger than legendary bows prior to Bungie screwing both it and gambit up. To fix the bug they could have merely disabled its multi hit effect in gambit or cap its damage multiplier. Dictionary definition of nerf = to make weak and ineffective. It was all too much effort to actually balance anything so bungle did the usual, nerf the problem away. Mind you, as a software company that states new content is hard it is not surprising.
-
It broke Gambit. Like, totally broke it. And it's not a 'pinnacle weapon' either.
-
Edited by Soul_Eater_42: 1/26/2020 7:17:47 PMYep. Sadly, the only decent PvE bow is Le Monarque. That poison is some potent stuff. Can one-shot enemies that would normally need 2 shots with a bow, and sometimes 2-shot enemies that would usually need 3 shots to kill. Wish-Ender definitely needs something more than just wall hacks and that weak ass entry/exit damage. A stagger and defense debuff effect on Perfect Draw shots, or a more powerful version of the Vorpal Weapon perk.
-
It didn't one shot a goblin? You clearly missed lol.

This obviously a troll post.
