I got banned a week after I played D2 for doing nothing.

About two weeks ago I was playing Destiny 2 just fine with my friends. One week later, I was notified about a ban on my steam account. I was genuinely confused about the ban because I only have time on the weekends to play. I haven’t done anything stupid, for example I haven’t hacked in game items or I haven’t used aimbot. I have lagged a few times in my game, but not to the point where my friends can not hear me or to the point where I talk like a robot. If there is anything that I don’t know of please tell me.

 • Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, auto-fire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, even if not destiny 2 specific Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason. There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans. Bans are lifetime for that account https://twitter.com/Bungie/status/1179836392953675776 <- Most recent info bans and restrictions policy page *I am not a Bungie representative, just a player trying to give the answers that are available.
