Are the servers down?
I tried to log into Destiny 2 at about 12:20am (PST) and after choosing my character, never could get into orbit and choose destination. Got an error message about no connection but my Internet works great. I tried to log in again and could not get to character screen.

Doing a full clear of your cache usually clears this. Close everything Shut console down Unplug for a full 5 mins this is important Then restart and try again.
