I main a warlock if I completely miss with my ranged melee I lose the charge. it's the same with the hunter throwing knife. And the Titan melee is way stronger and is available in every subclass!

You already answered your question. Warlocks lose their “RANGED” melee, Titans do too when they throw their hammer but they can pick it up again. Hunters lose their knives when they use them just so you know
-
Youre comparing ranged melees like Throwing Knife to CqB melees like a punch.

Edited by NVMYGT: 11/13/2019 2:46:36 PMWarlock doesnt lose a regular melee, Titan doesnt lose a regular melee, Hunter doesn't lose a regular melee. Warlock loses arc ball, titan loses throwing hammer, Hunter loses throwing knife. So what is your issue again?
-
You loose it on center tree striker fly and whiff or just smashing cans and you loose it
-
why yall always complaining bout titans?!? like dam ist annoying. it be the trashest ones that team shot n play so slow in the back that complain bout stuff. such as titans if u cant handle someone rushing u or moving around the map constantly stop playin the game
-
The perk of Titans being the least complicated class to play.

Edited by Swiftchao: 11/13/2019 7:54:24 PMI personally use shoulder charge for movement and not for killing in pvp it's just a bonus for me if someone doesn't pay attention cause shotguns are meta atm and most likely will be forever
-
Because they aren't unleashing the attack. They are using the lunge as a movement ability and since it doesn't contact a target it doesn't consume it. This form of attack is more like a normal charged melee as those are consumed on hit, hence why you don't lose it if you spam it. Arc upper cut, ballistic slam, handheld, throwing knives and throwing hammer all are a form of unleashing an attack. They are consumed because they can and will do damage to something so long as they are within the radius of the attack. Shoulder charge doesn't emit an attack until AFTER you hit the target, which makes it partially a movement ability and partially an attack.

Edited by GiantSlayer: 11/13/2019 4:19:08 PMIt’s not ranged, and completely opens you up to Shotguns. With the ranged melees, they’re perfect for cleaning up a kill on someone you weakened.
-
Because it is ranged. It leaves your body. Same with smoke bombs or throwing knives as well. Titan SC is used primarily for mobility, and secondarily as a knee-jerk reaction. Taking that away every time a Titan used his charge would kill off any SC Titan tree forever
-
Coz we're the chosen ones Warlock.
-
They loose it when they die, also we Titans use SC to manuever around the map. Bungie once removed it and realized this was a mistake. You would know all of this if you actually played on your Titan.
-
Because Titans do not have a ranged melee. The only melee charge you lose as warlock is ball lightning. Every other melee you do not lose, just as with Titans not losing theirs because they arent ranged.
-
[well, because it isn’t a melee that as an effect outside of point blank range, and other melees with a similar effect also don’t lose their charge when you miss. Just be glad shoulder charge (on all subclasses) has a longer cool down than the normal melee when we hit, allowing your teammates to get in close and shotgun us in the face like the apes most of us titans are.]
-
Middle tree loses it when they miss.
-
That's because a titan only has one ranged melee, and it technically does lose its charge (it is retrievable though). If you're pointing out shoulder charge, then that's because it isn't a ranged melee.
-
Ranged arc warlock and solar range titan melles both lose their charge if missed. Next.
