The crucible sandbox: things to change and potentially how to change them.

Nerfs: Recluse: Reduce master of arms bonus damage from 25 to 20 (this could work in PvP as well). Reason why, favors aiming still but doesn't cripple the potential when being accurate. Erentil/high impact fusions: Reduce damage from 48-50 (different charge times) to 43-45. Reason, the 4 bolt kill bull crap is what allows the high impacts to dominate. By reducing their damage to require 5 bolts even at maximum potential base damage, their ease of use will decrease and their ability to negate the effects of fall off will become more noticeable. Test this to see how it goes bungie then scale down the range. One eyed mask: Reduce vengeful tracking duration from 8 seconds to 5 seconds. Remove health regen on killing marked target. Reason: the tracking is the purpose of the exotic and so is the overshield, but the tracking doesn't need to be so long nor should any exotic ever regenerate health AND give an overshield. The damage boost is whatever, it could stay or go but mostly wouldn't care which. Not going to nerf any supers. There are more bad ones than good. Buffs: All weapons: make the numbers do true damage, not rounded up numbers. If I see an auto hit for 23, it should do 23, not 22.6 but show 23. This would mean a buff across the board very slightly for all weapons, but only because they would truly match their shown numbers. Precision-frame autos: Increase precision damage to 27. Amount of bullets it takes to kill most guardians is 8 rounds to the head. By increasing it to 27, 3 resilience and below guardians will die at 0.80 instead of at 0.96. This gives 450s a faster optimal ttk at the lower ranges but maintains its slow ttk at higher resiliences and just adds kill consistency against them. Adaptive-frame autos: Increase base stability/reduce recoil On console. The recoil makes accurately shooting difficult and in a game mode where accuracy is far more valuable than forgiveness, you end up having to bite the bullet more often than what should be allowed. It's not that I suck at the game, the recoil just causes far too many issues to promote healthy auto rifle usage in pvp and it's why practically nobody uses them. Staple flinch on top of this and it's bad. Rapid-fire frame autos: Reduce flinch received. Flinch makes their already bad base range and somewhat bad recoil a pain in the ass. I'd say reduce the stability as well, but these ones were definitely designed for spray and pray. High-impact frame autos: Reduce flinch received. Increase stability/reduce recoil on console. I have plenty of rolls on this weapon type and so many of them just don't feel usable to me outside of around a 25-27 meter range. Despite them having upwards of 30-35+ meters on scope varied autos, they can hardly shoot at that range without serious difficulty. Precision-frame scout rifles: Increase precision damage from 55 to 60. No ttk difference, just adds more damage. Side arms: Increase accuracy across the board. They just feel like they can't easily hit anything outside of where they deal maximum damage. This could be due to the scopes or something else, but regardless this weapon type should be incredibly accurate and they just don't feel like that. This post is just my opinion on the sandbox in crucible. There are more things I would like to add to the list but have no answers for/take too much of my time to give changes to. My goal is to reduce the effectiveness of the most used gear like the ones I provided suggestions for and I hope that if these changes were in place, that they do not cripple them. I don't like them as much as the next guy, but I don't ever want to break something beyond repair, even if I hate it. As for the buffs, these are more tweaks than full on changes. The numbers not being true has to change because it's misleading and stupid, especially on gear that's bad. Autos on console struggle at being accurate and have incredibly bad forgiveness to reach their optimal ttk. Although most automatic weapons are designed to be spray weapons, in Destiny, autos arerequired to be accurate to be even remotely viable and I want to put an emphasis on that. Their design in Destiny just isn't suitable for the way we play Destiny and it gives it's only real advantage, which is fire rate, more negatives than they are worth. They are being treated as precision weapons and so they should act like one. They aren't the halo assault rifle where you kill them pretty much equally no matter where you shoot, there are huge gaps between precision and body in Destiny and the fire rate can't carry that problem. There were other weapons to buff that are bad like bows, but I have no answer for them honestly. They just shoot too slow and their lack of one shot (and I absolutely do not want them to one shot) makes them unforgiving, slow, and sad.
