High-Skill Glory DOSing - No Name Shame, just a comment that needs to be seen

My team was just DOSd on the NA servers twice. Now I know this is a known thing and it happens, but this is different. I have legitimate proof, pictures, videos, comments, and reactions of the other players doing it to us.
The point here is not that they did it, but the manner in which they did. I know you cannot solve this issue and change the network structure. These people did it, talked about it in the open, posted personal IPs in twitch chats, and flat out are proud about it. This is not okay on any terms. This is an abusive relationship between a community and person's morals. In NO other community does a person brag about something of this nature and just seemingly move on. If something similar were to happen at the office you work at, that person is gone. It is not tolerated.
I am writing this as a plea to help due to the fact that I have NEVER seen a denial attack be admitted so casually and proudly. I just want to talk to someone and explain why this is ruining so many players experiences. Once again, I get that this cannot be fixed and frankly I could care less about someone trying to deny my service. This is about the way they went about it and manner they did it. Please - I will not name shame here.
Respectfully.

If you suspect cheating or have evidence of such, you can use Bungie’s report tool (Linked here) to report the team in question. PGCR counts as potential evidence.
Decca1705 is correct. The page he linked is the best way to report players to us. I can confirm that I personally review these reports and take action based on what is found when investigating. For many reasons (some legal) we cannot comment publicly on investigations. But we do read the reports :)

    • Bungie would much rather handle these cases in house. For a time, I offered help by providing the names and proof of hundreds of DoSsers. Not only did it fall on deaf ears, the tools to easily identify the offenders were restricted, and Bungie went so far as to give them privacy options to hide their match history. Bungie doesn’t seem to want help, and would rather this problem be hidden from the community.

      • Nicely worded. I’m all in favor of Name and Shame if the jacka$$ is willing to make videos and/or texts admitting/bragging about it.

      • Be careful. You might get punished for just mentioning it.

        • They also need to Disable countdown theirs an Exploit where they restrict you from spawning when planting. I have the video of it happening along with the person admitting to do it. But if I post it it's called witch hunting. How can it be a witch hunt when they admit to do doing it and they always do it in recent matches.

          • So extremely disappointing that a moderator marked that as an answer. Maybe it's the safest response by your team, which I understand and do not blame you. Problem is - that action of marking the response as the answer - is PRECISELY, without a doubt, the exact same concept as the responsible parties DoSing and pretending it is just the way things go. I would have rather had someone honestly say that there are reports, we are aware, and we are at the drawing board with this topic. I really did not want to mention this, but at the time I was playing, my grandmother was at my residence. Her LifeCall is connected through our network. Unfortunate that a 10H denial had happened.

There is a solution to the problem of DDoSing players, and it's called Bungie getting dedicated servers. :P Also, law enforcement are finally going after the clients of DDoS-for-hire 'booter' sites, not just the people who run them.
Europol also sent a warning to the effect that law enforcement may go knock (or perhaps worse) on the doors of anybody who rents DDoS-for-hire services, “be it a gamer booting out the competition out of a game, or a high-level hacker carrying out DDoS attacks against commercial targets for financial gain”.
https://www.welivesecurity.com/2019/01/30/were-coming-global-police-tell-ddos-attack-buyers/ https://www.bankinfosecurity.com/fbi-to-ddos-victims-please-come-forward-a-10390 https://www.techspot.com/news/77969-fbi-charges-three-connection-ddos-hire-website-seizures.html https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20190624005203/en/DDoS-for-hire-Websites-Comeback-FBI-Crackdown-Nexusguard-Threat Also, while you shouldn't have to do all this just to play Destiny 2, but I highly recommend playing through a VPN subscription through a reliable and secure VPN service that has DDoS protection built-in. There are a bunch of gaming-oriented VPNs now, and you can even buy routers pre-flashed with VPN firmware through www.flashrouters.com. https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/game/use-vpn-ps4-3670694/ https://www.purevpn.com/blog/vpn-for-xbox-360/ https://www.techradar.com/vpn/the-best-vpn-for-xbox-one-and-ps4
