I get what you mean when you say the Servitors are like our Ghosts, but the Fallen built them. Not the Traveller. And it WILL abandon us. I don’t know when, but remember this. Rasputin did shoot it down to keep it here to help Humanity. And it finally woke up from that slumber. I don’t think it’s all too happy with us.

"I see the City, ruined and abandoned. I see no Traveler in the sky. The war is elsewhere. Let us find it." "RECORD 615-CHASM-2110"

Exactly lol

I'm pretty sure that bungie already stated Rasputin didn't make the Traveller stay that it decided to fight, which sucks cause I like the Rasputin idea more
-
When did Bungie say that? I never heard that.
-
<It wasn't even confirmed though. The Rasputin idea was IN CASE, it's not certain that it happened. If the Darkness can take some of the strongest Warmind weapons, why can't the Traveler? How come nearly every bit of information on THIS Collapse says it stayed here? Even the Dreams of Alpha Lupi say it!>
-
The Rasputin idea makes much more sense than “It stayed here”.
-
<Does it? Wouldn't you get tired of the Darkness's bullshit?>
-
Yes. And if something came to help who I’m trying to guard defeat said Darkness, I would try and keep it here to help us. Which is what Rasputin did.
-
<Does it? Wouldn't you get tired of the Darkness's bullshit?>
Wouldn't you get tired of the chosen one bull shit? I used to believe that Rasputin shot down the Traveler but because people apparently disproved it I guess the Traveler went against its nature and decided to fight?
-
<The thing about the Traveler that people seem to forget is that it DOES care about life, it just cares about its life more. But after centuries and centuries of having your precious dream ruined by some asshole who won't stop following and knowing your responsible for countless death, you'd want to do something about it. I recommend you see the Dreams of Alpha Lupi, it clears things up a lot better than I do.>

I have read the dream's and created my own theory because of them The Traveler is an agent of the light that goes around helping societies right? So naturally the light would be against fighting. It's also worth mentioning that the last time the Traveler tried to confront a potential threat it created the Hive and freed the worm gods. I think from that point on the traveler swore to never fight again and just ran whenever the Darkness had found it. Until it finally tired of abandoning the one's it promised to help and decided to make "it's final stand" to "fight, fight and win"
