<Let me get this out of the way. I only believe there was one ship that caused the Collapse. A ship around the same size as the Traveler, acts similarly to the Traveler in that its a shell protecting a god-like entity, and a bit more powerful. Let's get into it. https://i.imgur.com/Hl4w69p.jpg The Darkness carries itself around in a ship. The ship comes equipped with a laser. Everything else it does is by the Darkness' own choosing. The outershell "scales" shift around. The other ability, and not a design choice, is the ability to release smaller ships. These ships vary in size, usually accommodating themselves to the size of a Cabal Cruiser or a Hive Tombship. They split off the main ship like how a Taken Psion splits from its predecessor. It was the ability to do this that led to the amount of destruction that happened in the Collapse. Swarm Ships are blank, with no patterns on any side with the exception of the laser on the bottom. Any of you ever see the movie Godzilla: Final Wars? You know the part where the aliens finally start attacking and releasing the monsters everywhere? It is weak to it, as getting hit leaves permanent scars on its plating. Similarly, the Traveler also has a nice hole on the underside.
