Hey guys, before we get started I want to say why I’m making this post 1. I want to discuss what has been revealed to us about the Curse of Osiris 3. I figured now, right before the next DLC, would be a great time for a Q&A So you guys go ahead and ask me anything u want about lore and CoO, and I will do my best to answer. I will also except non-lore questions, but please keep things appropriate If anyone wants to look at a post I made earlier on theories of what Osiris’s Curse could be, follow this link https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/238100577/0/0 [b]Down to business:[/b] I frankly haven’t had the time to watch all of the streams or read everything Bungie has put out about the DLC, but I watched the first chunk of the first stream and would like to touch on what was revealed. Hope no one minds if I point out the stuff that proved my theories right lol 1. Female Ghost (genders; totally called it) 2. Ghost called by name by It’s Guardian (again, called it) 3. Time froze when Osiris walked through the simulated Vault of Glass. This may be why Osiris was said to be “everywhere at once” during Six Fronts 4. The Vex could move even when time was frozen by Osiris. This means it was either a simulation Osiris had entered or the Vex have found a way around Osiris’s tricks 5. MERCURY. We get to explore the Lighthouse and Mercury, including its interior and different versions of it in the past and future 6. TIME TRAVEL. We explore Mercury in different points of time on our battle against the Vex 7. The Vex have turned the interior of Mercury into a giant simulation chamber called the Infinite Forest (their are a bunch of tall slender structures that resemble trees). An entire world dedicated to simulating all of the known universe within the Vex’s knowledge in order to obtain a key to conquer the universe is definitely a problem, and is probably the reason why the Vex were able to figure out how to foil Osiris’s tricks 8. Osiris said the Vex could “see” their Light, either meaning that the Vex now have limited ability to track and predict Guardians or that they can detect Guardian presences anywhere within their jurisdiction. Or it could mean something else, who knows? 9. Brother Vance and the Disciples have met Osiris for the first time and now reside in the Lighthouse. It shows how the Disciples sprang up from teachings left behind by Osiris rather than direct teaching, and leaves questions to wether or not the Trials of Osiris were created by Osiris or not 10. The Precursor and Descendent Vex are returning in D2 with the same looks as before, so it leaves to question if we can create a lore reason for the Vex representing the “present” to have a different look. There’s honestly probably not a lore reason, but if you’re that dedicated to finding a reason then we can just say the Vex found a more adaptive chassis structure and decided to simultaneously switch out all the old models. Questions as to what Subtypes the new D2 Vex are still open.
