Need Help with Ban

This is worth a shot I suppose. So I started up the PC Beta for Destiny 2 and loved it. I built a computer specifically for this game. I recorded some of the footage for YouTube using a piece of software called Action. It works great, but has an FPS counter. You can see where this is going. I made sure to deactivate the counter before playing and all went well. Later on that day or the next (not sure) i played some more, then decided to record a little bit more about the HVT's that you could kill with the empty loot chests. This time, I didn't notice the FPS counter must have turned back on. At least that the only thing I can think of that proceeded to get my account and "device" banned. I tried logging back on late that night for a couple rounds of crucible and received a notice telling me I'm banned. I know I was an idiot for not checking and making sure. Kinda resent that software for even having an FPS counter for whatever reason. I realize that i should have just used OBS and played it safe. To be honest, I never even fathomed that this could happen to me because I have no interest or knowledge even how to begin cheating in a PC game. Is there any chance that the ban system is going to be reset for the full launch? The curious thing was that I didn't get a notice or restriction before hand, so I'm not even sure if it was that recording software. I am not a cheater, just like making YouTube videos of my favorite game. Any help would be appreciated. tl;dr account and device are banned because of FPS counter I didn't notice was on. Any chance of second chance?

  • Exactly what happend to me as well. I asked Blizzard Support about it and they said, if I was still banned I wouldn't even be able to purchase the game at all. So I guess they did reset the bans.

There's a high chance that the mass bans caused in the Destiny 2 PC beta will not carry over to the full game, especially considering the issue wasn't well known by the players. Bungie hasn't made any statements to that fact, as far as I know, but it seems like a stupid thing to carry over the beta bans when they were caused by an issue beyond most players' knowledge at the time, a super sensitive anti-cheat setup.
