My suggestion, Bungie: quit playing games with my Warlock's heart.

EDIT: I got it.
The thrilling story as it unfolded,
15 minutes from Xur leaving the Reef I sell all my ascendant and radiant materials to the Speaker and come out with 206 motes of light. I'm 1 short of a ninth exotic engram... Nine? do these agents want me to align all the stars and planets in the universe with a sacrifice to their 9? I see that 9 minutes remain. I look at my vault and I look at my inventory, and there it is, the weapon that's taken me to the Lighthouse numerous times; the weapon that's made it's victims question the laws of range and all that it is holy, my Party Crasher +1, that would give me +1 mote of light for 9 engrams total. I align the stars at the Tower before Rahool (go -blam!- yourself, Ives) and I call upon the WZRD gods for all their damn blessings and strength, much like how Goku would form a spirit bomb... AND I UNLEASH MY THUMB ON THAT X BUTTON! DECRYPT!! DECRYPT!!! DECRYPT!!!!
And on the final engram it drops like a tear from my soul...
That's crap haha. Goodluck

So over 2000 motes. For real? To accumulate that much materials for that means you've dedicated 35% of your life since the game release. 8-10 hours everyday since the game release. That would put you in the top 1% having everything in the game multiple of times.

First two exotic engrams when HoW dropped were nighthawk and ram. Keep on grinding dude. You'll get it
-
I bought roughly 50 this weekend. Switched to each character every 15-20 decryptions. No luck either. I'm fed up with Xur! Here's to hoping he sells it next weekend.

I've gotten three Rams from nightfall. It's just luck man. I can't get the voidfang
-
Thats over 2000 motes....
-
Next time switch to a character other than your warlock to decrypt them.
-
I got all 3 helms 3 days after release
-
Got several of them in the first few
-
Got mine the 3rd engram. Lol
