I made that level, little big planet 2 was my favourite too. So far lbp 3 is really good. There is some definite differences between 2 and 3. There is 16 layers, there are new power ups and other stuff like teleports and warp holes. Also the story mode on lbp 3 is actually hard. I had to team up to finish story mode. I only just finished it last week, I started story on release day. Lbp 3 is a bit limited on materials, pretty much you need lbp 2 to fill in the gaps of costumes and materials for levels. Unfortunately I played lbp 2 on another account so I can't bring everything I got previously onto the new lbp.

Yeah I'm the same with the account setup and will have to start fresh, this gave me an idea for a level to do with destiny when I do buy the game (it was the reason why I got a ps4) i could probably use your help with the story by the sounds of it
