I dont know what Bungie did at update but PVP balance is just gone

since the update yesterday matches are so bad in Control... ...they do this every season.. it feels like they throw out all the balancing data and build from scratch at the first update... big thumbs down from someone who was enjoying the game Bungie. 👎 update: while Tues/Wed was bad.. Thur seemed much improved.. can see my report below thx (feel free to add yours)

      ok I have my report from yesterday (9 games I took notes each one): I'm giving the system points (+/- [1-3] based on match quality [my opinion of course] but there is an outlier) > points are in brackets ------------------- [-2] --- 1(W): Wormhaven 132-50 >> no balance mercy.. but ok for a warmup (probably not for the other team).. [spoiler][i]I don't mind the map at all but seems to mercy a lot. Tested a nice Trust here along with a Senuna that I was going to dismantle but changed barrel/mag next game and it began doing its job (thats just fun for me as a weapons tester guardian)[/i][/spoiler] [+3] --- 2(L): Twilight Gap 136-142 >> close even though someone left my team) [-6] --- 3(L): Widow's Court 123-50 mercy >> this is an outlier of badness that I hope Bungie can look at. Details >> problem already at loading screen -- loaded the 8 guardians.. went quickly to 12.. started loading... then back to 8 guardians... did this loop for a while and I exited... started control again... join in progress at something like 41-7... a 3 stack mopping the floor... not giving a F on competition.. Horrible bad out of band experience that then stays with you and thats why it gets a -6. There were multiple matches like this on Tuesday/Wednesday.. thankfully not today. [+1] --- 4(W): Pacifica 153-117 >> a lil bit wide but acceptable -- so much better than the last match.. [spoiler]Bottom Dollar was on... yes it still can play even with Mos Athanor god rolls dropping like rain[/spoiler] [+1] --- 5(L): Disjunction 151-110 >> actually ok [spoiler]I'll admit my bad trying out a weak bow for too long I had (Pre-Asty) before switching to Staccato. Now I dismantled both eventually but I think Staccato is excellent - the sights light up the enemy and its pretty stable... I have several so have better rolls.[/spoiler] [+3] --- 6(W): Rusted Lands 150-138 >> good [spoiler]different bottom dollar also good[/spoiler] [+3] --- 7(L): Vostok 150-133 >> tough match but good [-3] --- 8(L): Citadel 150-110 >> unbalanced.. I knew there was a problem player here because I had marked them by blocking before (puts a little mark on them when viewing roster)... they trounced the match invis hunter.. 10kd only because I got them with a battle scar.. otherwise would have been 15 kd [+1] --- 9(W): Midtown 150-146 close >> only a +1 because I did not enjoy the match but I recognize its partly me... partly that I didn't leave the last lobby after end of game.. partly a new player lagging or network manipulating around ---------- Overall thats a positive 1 to quality.. which is much better than previous 2 days.. so >> maybe balancing is getting balanced. 🙂 ..adding to that I had intended to stay for only 4-5 but it was enjoyable enough to extend that to 9... performance also very affected as I was forcing the testing of Fimbulwinter's in my vault... this gun needs the help of a trait that is not Dawning specific Bungie > applying this retroactively would be cool enjoy Friday!! 🤙😎🤙

      Just played four games of Mayhem. Lost all four. Three on Warlock and one on Hunter, two games we lost by 100 points. One by 60 and one by thirty. All four times I'm the player on my team front and centre. Pretty clear what Bungie has done. After the likes of Ifrostmoan and GurnerJake made their videos crying about how they aren't stomping in Trials and getting their usual 3.45567 k/d over the weekend Bungie have decided to match the top players against the not so good players. After all we can't have their little pets tear staining their make up now can we ?? During these four games I had one Hunter golden gun me through two walls. The one he was behind, and the one in front of me. Multiple times. Hunter running round with a permanent golden gun and a Warlock flying around in god mode. That's just in four games. What an absolute shambles.

      • All seasoned hands are working Marathon the only people working Destiny are those without any experience or knowledge about it and its systems. Bungo gona Bungo. Failure is now the expectation.

            • Ever since the dawning ended it has been brutal in Crucible!Really ,REALLY, bad. I know in the past that when Trials was out it would be worse in control but.....Has Trials always been locked unless you pay? Im only asking because my thought is alot of people don't want to pay so alot have gone into control instead. I don't buy every season and I don't really play Trials so it's just a guess.

                    • I will never get tired of people who play PvP who immediately think something in the game must have changed because they're losing more than they want to (and they never want to lose in the first place). I await your future "these things are killing me and I want them nerfed this instant" posts.

                      • I had forgotten how to play normal pvp after 3 weeks of the dawning. Died much more often than usual. I also found it difficult to get matches. Even normal control had couple of times I timed out before joining. People also drop out often. Had a match with 12 people at the start after a long wait. Two people in the opposing team were from a clan everyone else were solo. The clan players coordinated well and took an early lead by controlling 2 zones. People started dropping out from my team. In 3 minutes I was the only one left. I spawn, sit down and wait for the opposite team to kill me. People joined the match saw it was 6 vs 1 currently and bailed out. I finished on the top with 2 kills, 2 zone caps, 3 newly joined players with no score and a B grade. Other matches were not so lopsided. I usually manage to get to being the player with the second lowest score. I do this twice every day to get the required 2 B grades in activities. Everything else with guaranteed B is Ultimate difficulty and with Reclaim not in rotation, are too much of a slog.
