UNLINKING STEAM ACCOUNT
i want to unlink my steam account to a new one, and ive heard unlinking is no longer possibly
why is that and what am i supposed to do when all my data is locked ?

As of March 25 2025 you cannot unlink platform accounts (except Twitch) from a Bungie.net profile. The Steam account became permanently bound to your Bungie account once the change was implemented on the above date - you can read about it [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025]here[/url]. In order to use your PSN characters while on Steam, you will need to use the already linked account and set up cross-save and setting the PSN account as the active profile. If you can't access the Steam account that's linked, you will need to work with Valve in order to regain access - if they can't or won't give you access then there's nothing else that can be done. Bungie will not unlink the account.
