I've been making several solo-flawless attempts at Vesper's the last few weeks, and just ran into a bug fighting Raneiks that forced me to reset the run. Raneiks can very rarely give you the same number twice. After getting teleported the first time in a cycle, Raneiks gave me the numbers 2 and 3. I proceeded through the encounter, then, after the second teleport, they proceeded to give me the numbers 2 and 9. Thinking I just remembered the numbers wrong, I redid the cycle. First teleport gave me 2 and 3 again, and I got suspicious. Following the second teleport, I got 2 and 9 again as well. Absolutely sure I saw the numbers right, I even tried inputting them to see if it triggered damage with just the three, or even allowed me to input 2 twice. Since this post is titled as a softlock, obviously neither experiment worked. I've fought Raneiks probably two dozen times the past few weeks, and this is first, [i]maybe[/i] second, time this has happened.
