There should be a mechanic where enemies cower in fear or run away before reengaging you.
The Guardian has committed genocide and has left a wake of bodies all across Sol.
By now, enemies know what you’re about.
Edit: someone pointed out that surrender mechanics might be more impactful. I’ve also suggested this could be tied to completions in endgame content; enemies are fearful or debuffed in your presence after so many completions

“Ah - we're doomed!” “Death is coming.” Low rank enemies run away.
-
But what would that add to the game? Nothing. Yea, we are op and undying. So?
-
Like the grunts in Halo?
-
I find they hide a lot when I'm doing lost sectors but jump out and start firing again the second I hit reload. Take yesterday's lost sector, for example. Always feel like I'm chasing taken around that tree.
-
Come on, do you expect the company that MADE HALO with the same mechanic to be compatible with the one it's became?
-
Dregs do this all the time.

Modifié par Guardian,Archon Of Light : 4/23/2025 3:53:26 AMThey already do , atleast Dregs What we need, is surrender mechanics Are you going to suicide charge the guy who just wiped your whole platoon without breaking a sweat, or are you going to beg for mercy Could even have an honor system, killing surrendering enemies lowers your honor, sparing them increases it, killing low honor guardians in crucible has a chance to drop an Adept weapon, and display your honor above your head with your GR and Title, could be an honor vendor, maybe give it to Ikora or Zavala, with other rewards for increasing your honor rank

Kinda happens. Some enemies have mechanics where they do different things if you look at them. Servitors are prob the best example. Have you tried to hit those MFers with a rocket? Poof, behind cover.

It happens sorta

Dregs throw their hands up and run sometimes
