For the second time this year, my bungie name was changed to Guardian for no reason.
The first time, I was lucky enough to have a name change available to fix it. I was never told my name was inappropriate. I was never told there was a reason. It was changed one day, and I had to spend my [b]one[/b] resource to fix it.
It's happened again this morning. For no reason. Someone, anyone [i]please[/i] tell me there's something I can do. Someone I can contact. Some link I can click to take me somewhere so I can do [i]something[/i].

Hello there[url=https://tuxydoh.com/images/hi.gif],[/url] A name reset to default like that means it was detected or reported, reviewed by Bungie and reset to"Guardian####", that indicates that some part of the name broke the [url=https://www.bungie.net/7/en/Legal/CodeOfConduct]Code of Conduct[/url] or the [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/7648312251284-Bungie-Name-Guide]Bungie Name Policy[/url], was filtered, and [b]can no longer be used.[/b] When that happens, you get the new name cross play message in-game as notice of the name change. You can try a different name if you have not previously changed it. If the system is not allowing more changes, there is no way to override it. Additionally, I am not privy to what portion of the name policy or code of conduct your name was running afoul of. All I can advise is that once the name has been moderated by Bungie, it is no longer available for use. If you have a name change available still, you can change it to a different name.

In addition to the answer given, we've been given three name changes in total so you should be able to change again, if you've only used one. If you can enter a new name into the name box, this is confirmation that you do have name changes available. If the name does not get accepted, ignore the 'you can only change your name once' message, it's misleading, the name is just hitting the filter and can't be used. Keep trying something else and you'll get one to go through eventually.
