The only real positives to come out of this were the small Titan super buffs and the reduction of sniper rifle flinch, everything else was nerf, nerf or indirect nerf, I'm looking at you graviton. It sucks and while I will continue to play, this was a huge damager of the enjoyment I was having just last patch clearing my first ever GM runs.
Its patches like these that do not feel like balance or understandable changes, but pure anti fun hatred and spite of the player.

The recent Lion Rampants "fix" has felt completely unnecessary when Titans have logistically needed more of a reason to play lately. Not less. I still struggle understanding the "balance issue" when in-air combat typically gets panned by higher skilled players and content creators alike. Inside of both PVP or PVE. I don't believe the average Lion Rampants enjoyers have been carrying many guardians to the Lighthouse lately. Or has been making the clutch decision plays in a Grandmaster Nightfall. It was a boost in utility for a neutral gain exotic. "Provides additional aerial maneuverability" description could easily be applied to the proposed ADS during Lift. And I believe it could intrinsically help assist in opening up dynamic play styles and learning curves in every available activity for both new and returning Lights of varying skills. For a class always yearning for a little extra identity. Without creating a meta defining issue

11 commentairesI don't say they are liars, or they are thieves, but they took great freedom with communication, and development. It's been frustrating since a long time, with the permanent ups and downs. There is no constant except the chaos with what is Bungie working, if one wants to call that a constant - right from the start with the original Destiny. The Messy, True Story Behind The Making Of Destiny And even it's been 10 years, not much has changed since then. I play since Destiny 2. I own every expansion, since year one, and often, I asked myself: why do you continue with this "mess"? Until I found the answer in this article, written by John Hopson; Head of User Research at Bungie. Behavioral Game Design A member of this forum - thank you - posted it here, a few weeks ago. I'm my own master, but nevertheless the game has its influence, and that's explained and illustrated in this article. What made me pensive was the analogy with the animal experiments. Just to be fair; I like Destiny 2, but what comes with, it's never ending, is hard to take. Even for a game. Those are my thoughts, and the truth.

9 commentairesModifié par Muffincup : 8/7/2024 4:44:05 PMGo ahead, Bungie. Ban me for what I'm saying. I know you want to. The short. Never trust these people. Ever. They are liars and scam artists. That's modern business. "Less is more"; literally told to me in my personal jobs, mostly stated in sales, by positions of management in regards to information and the customer experience. The long... It is. Bungie tells us how much they hate us within story, and emotes sometimes, even; trying to put an artistic spin on their malicious intent like its some kind of benevolent gesture that makes it all ok. Don't fall for it. At least they're honest there. You just have to pay close attention. The business practices are a reflection of that. Supposedly, the Graviton thing is a glitch, but remember Bungie's history of lying and trying to cheat players. Do not be surprised if a "fix in a future update" doesn't happen. They could get it done by next Tuesday, but chances aren't in our favor. They may just be testing it to see how it goes over, but in the end, regardless, this studio has proved they only make decisions based on one thing "What makes Bungie feel good?". That's it. The customer isn't even an afterthought until they do some drastic sh*t that really hurts business. That's pretty much the business model at this point though, in all gaming. Create broken, overpriced services, do bare minimum, demand premium prices, set up microtransactions to "maximize" profit, which translates to "We know what we are doing is wrong, but we're consciously making the decision to do it." They know full well. That's how business goes. It all has to be conscious, thought out decisions because of how much is encompassed. Almost all of gaming is simply a scam "service" now. Look at how they all operate. Same story, different studios. They are not our friends. They do not have our interests in mind. They literally do not care beyond money and, I suppose, keeping their vastly overpaid positions. The only thing they want is to create their art, which is fine, but they've turned it into a no compromise Dictatorship. They have zero intentions of doing anything for the player/customer. This entire industry needs to be completely gutted. Honest business used to be a thing, but its incredibly rare now. Bungie is just bad at hiding all the sketchy crap they do. Its funny being called crazy for years, talking about this stuff, and now alot of people see it, and I'm ok with these studios dying off and people losing jobs. Do it right or you don't deserve it. The people that manage these studios are sociopaths who have no real understanding beyond themselves. Keep that in mind. The devs? They deal with the flak. They aren't perfect, but they're usually better than their unqualified, incompetent management. If you have to resort to underhanded business "tactics" you are an incompetent business owner. It is absolutely cut and dry. An actual, good business does not need to engage in this behavior because the product sells itself in quality. That's the whole purpose of the Bungie forums, to this company. To excercise their perceived authority, just remember the customers employ you f*ckers. Without us, you're nothing. Without you, we don't have these things, but it doesn't mean anything goes. Respect is key. I won't personally give it because they proved they don't deserve it. Until they learn how to be decent people with integrity, (doing the right thing, even when nobody is looking) break them. Sympathy is for people who don't continue making conscious decisions from malice and dishonesty. People like those that run these studios only understand two things; force and losing everything. Any position of power only understands that, and power is simply money in this modern world. I don't speak for anyone, but I will state my observations. It seems like more people are catching on what's really going on.

seriously just makes me wonder like WHY, why the -blam!- would you do something that you know is gonna UNANIMOUSLY be disproved of by players. Not to get political but it’s literally like putting joe biden up for presidency a second term, it went so badly he had to pull out because literally no one wanted to deal with it.

I think the PVP changes are a step in the right direction. Escalating penalties for habitual quitters for instance. Passage of persistence changes are good. Comp changes are good. Didn’t see anything on there about Graviton though. This is, apparently, the last TWAB before Sony has its way so let’s see where it goes.

2 commentairesModifié par Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds : 8/9/2024 12:45:23 PMMorale was already low considering everything that’s happened. Now is not the time for hard nerfs. Broken things I get, but let stuff go for now at least. Now is the time to surprise us. Update GoS weapons like the other older raids, fix the rotator system so people don’t have to wait 2 months for something they want to farm, etc.

4 commentairesThis is how they control the game and what we use. Instead of adding new exciting things, they force you to use things you haven't used so it feels new. Same thing with the crucible. If Bungie was owned by gamers instead of blood sucking corporate bums, it would be a better game. They don't realize that fun and enjoyment are what made it popular, not the CEO trying to get millions
-
It s really really time for sony to step in and revive this franchise. Bungie s leadership care just about one thing deception and money. I can t tell which one come first Osmiomsy and gateway nerfed out of the blue. It didn t broke pvp nor pve. I mean ... can t wait for the one who decide fhis kind of changes to leave and never come back

2 commentairesThe Getaway Artist is a bummer. At least Gravy El is a bug, tho how long it will take to fix? Anyone's guess. Buffs & nerfs are jus a thing that happens now. It's like a micro update were your builds are scrubbed but without any +tive. I look forward to D2 Maintenance Mode when the sandbox is jus frozen. No more ups or downs, everything in it's right place* Radiohead know the score 😉

Modifié par Magiscene : 8/8/2024 11:26:32 AMThe constant nerfs need to stop. I don’t care if it’s for balance or not. Power fantasy is what drove me and many players to this game BECAUSE ITS FUN. They need to stop trying to take that away. Prismatic brought that back but soon that will be a former shell of itself too.

It’s not like there’s any new content coming that they need to balance with the current meta. Bungie being Bungie- killing their own product and wondering why no one wants to play this garbage…
-
The nerfings will continue until morale improves
-
1 commentaireIt’s rotation of meta. They have done it from year 1. They think it brings interest to the game by making you use different weapons. It also throws a small bone to their content creators to try and hype up new builds and guides. Same crap different day. My opinion anyway.

Modifié par Taejzon23 : 8/7/2024 7:12:11 PMThese people don't care. They make their money, and ignore anything that pleases the players. Only themselves. They don't respond for fear of criticism, but they truly don't care as well until the well runs dry. Haven't you all seen this by now? As long as people kept spending $20 for armor bundles in Eververse, they were fine not responding. Now the game is coming to an end. I've learned my lesson. Didn't buy this season, and won't purchase anything else. My opinion only. Edit: if you think the Graviton Lance nerf was a "mistake" as well, you're blind.

Don’t play the game if it isn’t fun. Only enjoyment I get out of Destiny nowadays is doing Sherpas on the weekend. Other than that, I am spending my time on The First Descendant.
-
The Hamster Wheel must prevail!
-
This is the first time I’ve only played on character in a season and honestly just can’t find a reason to get excited to play

Play fortnite

Dont be hater . Ammo reserve buff and some bug fixes are great.
-
8 commentairesGraviton is not a nerf. Bug appeared and awaiting fix.

There was a lot more in this patch than just balance changes to your beloved kit. You’re high if you think that stuff was bad.

Sounds like every patch since that one expansion. What was the name of it? Shadowkeep? Beyond Light? The Witch Queen? Lightfall? it was one of them I'm sure...
-
Hunter nerfs 🥳

Modifié par KalelKryptonian : 8/7/2024 1:59:21 PMTitan buff on the hammer of sol is a joke. 20% only on bosses and mini bosses and it still has uptime nerfed in to the ground makes it pointless. But then titans get 2 nerfs disguised as bugs. Take unbreakable, that's absolutely terrible and weak so to make it worse????? Arsenal used to do 324k 20% 388k big deal does nothing for it at all. And that sums up these so called buffs, nothing at all

I will note that Graviton is probably a bug, but it’s still stupid.
