I feel like the bulk of this seasons story has focused on Osiris and Saints honeymoon rather than the conductor or the vex.
It feels like bungie had more of a general idea for the seasonal story, but couldn't figure out how to get from plot point A to plot point B, so they decided to just fill the gap with more Saintiris bromance.
I mean, this week's story should have been huge, but instead, we got 2 extremely long talking scenes with Saint and Osiris expressing their feels for each other. By my 3rd character, I found myself going to the bathroom, getting snacks, and refilling my drink, just to come back and find them still talking about their feelings. Meanwhile, we got to see the conductor for 30 seconds.
Even most of the post activity dialog from the seasonal activities focuses on their relationship rather than the conductor, vex, or Nessus.
At this point, I feel like bungie was misleading with their marketing for Echos, and they might as well have called it Honeymoon or Bromance. It's even more exhausting knowing most of their dialog could have just been a lore tab/book or in-game text screen. Not to mention, at this point, bungie has given us more information on Saint and Osiris relationship than any other relationship in-game, I mean this is like the 4th or 5th season that featured their relationship and every cutscene/lore tab that features one of these characters since Witch Queen, always somehow seems to diverge into them talking about their love for the other rather than what's going on at that point in time.

Im not against bromances or saint or osiris but i want action/ cutscenes/story at the start of D2 saint 14 was a legend fallen in battle as we know the saint 14 rn is not the real one? While for us he might still be the real one. That is progression. But i dont wanna hear about their lovers issues while they can give me a good action combat cutscene instead of timegated acts/seasonal voicelines 😅 yet again bot against it but i dont feel like listening to it and skipping those scenes with just talking and bromances
