It’s crazy because it doesn’t even make the game harder it makes it slower and boring,and if it’s on and you’re a solo player it makes everything nearly impossible.

    I get the frustration around solo, but incentivizing players to stick together and strategize is a way of making an activity harder. If you can just run completely free and not care about what your teammates are doing, that would be easier. The solo point though sure it's bad because it's not designed for solo. There are ways to get around it when solo, but it's a modifier designed for a group. It needs an actually intended solo solution other than just focusing your loadout around healing stuff.

  • Then imo they can find something else about my guardian to temporarily buff/nerf as an incentive. Togetherness and attrition both mess with the most valuable resource you have amd as others have stated make the game slower in a severely annoying way, not harder. I don't want to spend 2 mins waiting to heal just because I can't get to another player or a well because I'd die if I tried, you know because I can't heal. Make my guns weaker, my super not charge, no heavy ammo, weakened abilities, when I'm not near another player. But stop -blaming- with my health. It can completely remove agency because you can't take an action due to being one shot from death. Any arguments about using external healing are a band aid to side step and not address the problem. And not every class has easy on demand healing.

  • Since when are you ever matched with a group that stays together? (Not counting pre-made fireteams)

    He's talking about the modifier making the game harder. I'm not saying it's something that should be in a matchmade activity like The Coil if that's what you're implying. People solo Grandmaster nightfalls and I totally get the frustration of this modifier in GMs. I'm saying the modifier does it's job of making the game harder for a 3 man. It works and should only stay, imo, in Grandmaster Nightfalls because, whether people want to admit it or not, it makes it harder by making you stick together and strategize more than just running around in a solo yolo state whilst there are 2 other people doing the same and not having as much strategy or care.
