Everything is so costly. How is a new player men at to survive in this game
-
Just make finest matterweaves auto consume. Then, have the cores go directly into your inventory (to avoid the postmaster clogging up).
-
BRUH‼️ I can into this expansion with 306 I have 38 now!!! We need a system where I can exchange my ascendant shards, or enchantment prisms in exchange for enhancement cores. They’re the most precious commodity. I barely need a ascendant shards. I only masterworks something like once a month?
-
How do people run out of enhancement cores? I have problems trying to keep them under control as the number keeps going up.
-
I always have extra or a plethora of them, if I could share I would. Maybe manage resources better 🙄
-
Streamers were bored with the 1000s they had so they had it changed....rest of us were told to go to hell
-
When I run low I run lost sectors, idk what a new player should do about it
-
convert prisms to cores, upgrade a blue armor piece to level 8 and delete it. converting 3 core and 1 prism into 6 cores. and it will cost a ton of glimmer so enjoy.
-
Because too many of us players are sitting on 5k+ in enhancement cores. You don't have to craft every weapon. Many players just craft 1-2 weapons a season anyway.
-
Crafting is supposed to be a commitment.
-
Crafting isn't really viable for new lights. Honestly I'd just farm for decent legendary rolls if I where in your shoes. Crafting is really for the seasoned guardian who's got a few resources to spare. Funny thing is once you've gone and farmed a few games of dares/strikes/nightfalls etc you'll find you have build up enough resources to start crafting but by then you might have found a few decent legendaries with good/god rolls to mean you might not need to craft a weapon any way
-
They base everything in this game off of those that'll sit on their asses for 16 hours a day, because they have no lives. Forty cores and 50 shards mean nothing to someone with tens of thousands of each because they play non-stop, and that's who Bungie makes everything for.
-
farm lost sectors, you get plenty of cores from them. you're 1813, it should be no problem.
-
Enhancement core only has few places to get. Gunsmith bounties, quite tedious and you need 3 chars to get 12 cores a day. Nightfall, dismantle leggies and consumable which is quite expensive. For new light, crafting is near impossible. I have tried out with an alts. Man, it is brutal. Back to main and it is day and night. Play Terminal with cheese two free chests will give you plenty of shards. Tedious, for sure. That is D2. You need to grind a lot for new light.

I haven't had to care about how many Cores or Shards I use for a very long time, so take this with a pinch of salt, but I don't think that weapon crafting is meant for new players. Aside from the quests that introduce you to how crafting works, a new player is very rarely going to come across weapons with obtainable Patterns. By the time they are able to craft a gun, they'll likely have developed their own preferences for archetypes and perks, at which point they're educated enough to know which guns they want to craft and which ones they don't. Excluding weapons that I've crafted solely for Triumphs and Challenges, I've only crafted 13 Legendary weapons and 4 Exotics in the year-and-a-bit that the system has been available.

Game is for streamers and neck beards now.

A new player isn't meant to survive. Welcome to Bungo logic.
-
Yeah, let’s remove a currency that was fairly easy to obtain just by playing and make you use harder to get currencies. Totally better, right?
-
How much does it take? Like 6 or 7 enhancement cores and couple of prisms to craft enhanced? I never actively farmed enhancement cores since I started this game at the end of season 18, and I'm sitting at 700 enhancement cores in my bank with no idea what to do with them.

It takes time to get rolling but is pretty good now. You can get some randomly when dismantling gear, also the cubes (red cube thing can't recall the name). 4 per character per day from banshee bounties. Some at certain ranks with vendors Zavala, Shaxx, banshee, drifter, and Saint in the tower. The helm vendors (currently just the war table). Xur in the treasure horde. You can buy 5 a day from rahool if you have legendary shards. You can get some on a dice roll from objectives tied to ghost mods. Precision kills in pvp, wins in gambit, and boss kills in stikes. There's also ghost mods in the same slot for prisms, upgrad modules, and more legendaries. Once you get used to the game, there's also higher tier content like legend/master lost sectors which can drop 1-3 cores and 1-2 prisms and a decent chance at exotic armor. Then the nightfalls, don't know the drop rates but hero for cores, legend cores/prisms, master and Grandmaster for prisms/golfballs (ascendant shards).

This is mainly becuz of the time when people were farming those shards and cores from collections. After they patched that, I think Bungie decided to over charge alot of things, so players who had over 1k of each shards/cores, would have their stockpile of those dwindling down more. It's an easy farm to do but Bungie got rid of it and you cannot do that anymore. Well, that's my opinion on why everything is expensive now -
