Just wondering what Drifter has been up to. I thought he was supposed to have a plan for when the witness showed up, but I don't think he's been influential to the story in a while.
Also, what happened to the Nine? Is that part of the story resolved or are there just too many other storylines that need to be handled?

I think Drifter will have a role to play at some point, whether it involves the Nine, his dark motes, or ensuring his own survival even at other people's demise. Perhaps instead he will pull some hero card and actually stay to help since he does have a thing for Eris, I hope they do something with him though. Maybe have a season with Shaxx and Drifter collaborating for something.

Modifié par Azoths_Gambit : 3/25/2023 1:16:36 AMDrifter should be playing a larger role in the story of the game. The whole point of his "Gambit" was to be prepared for the Witness and the Black Fleet. At this point he should be an honorary member of the Vanguard. If I got my Lore right he's a Titan with the mind of a Warlock and the agility of a Hunter. He's one of the most skilled creative minds that we have among our allies and instead of relying on him more the Vanguard sends a lightless pilot to her death against the Black Fleet? Makes no logical since what so ever. Drifter was prepping for this. Let's ask him what he's got up his sleeve and use it. Mara is helping. Final Shapes Narrative basically needs to be like the Avengers except where Eris, the Stranger, the Drifter, Ikora, Zavala, Saladin, Osiris, and Mara all get their hands dirty helping and not just staring at the Traveller as it allows it's self to get a new tattoo from Witness-Senpai and his Veil.

The wheels are coming off of Bungies storytelling, it can only get from here

Honestly one of the worst things about the game recently is how the Drifter has just sort of been pushed to the back burner when he would probably be one of our best allies for dealing with the arrival of the witness and the Shadow Legion. Instead we get some lame telegraphed BS focusing on Holiday, who has never been a "major" player in the narrative.

Modifié par Quiet_Bushi : 3/24/2023 3:45:31 PMLast thing I recall about the Drifter is a piece of lore from the current Season Sword. Nothing special, something reguarding him, the Spider and another Eliksni. Last more "serious" update was the message left from Eris to him at the end of Season of Hauted. The Nine will probably go back in next Seasons. Since they are strictly connected to the Planets of Sol and the Witness made them disappear, probably they will have something to do with make them return. Also, maybe Savathun will be part of this process, who knows? Just guessing.

Destiny WILL in fact expand past this Saga. They’ll probably be a massive focal point to whatever comes post-TFS.

BungLe forgot about them and their story setup. 🤷♂️
-
Yeah... 🧐🧐 Watch them bring him into the spotlight next season then kill him off... Bungie forbid there be any solid characters in this game😂
-
It's like bungie is trying to pull a kingdom hearts with the story or endgame.
-
I bet Bungie totally forgot about that. Just like when they give us an opportunity to decide on which side we're on, Avantgarde or Drifter.

I think that's where the narrative will go after Final Shape.
