Have you listened to him talk? Dudes a clown, most of the devs are clowns tbh
-
Have you seen his twitter post Doesn’t know what he is doing and completely out of his depth This game is in massive problems

-
These threads popping up everyday can't begin to understand game dev, and the insults thrown at the people WHO ARE MAKING CONTENT FOR YOU is a genuine disgrace on the community. Complain about what you see fit, but the behaviour of calling out people personally is a terrible look.

It’s not him or was it Luke Smith. Their bosses that make the final decisions are to blame imo

Modifié par Stardust : 12/1/2022 7:58:39 AMI'm against calling names. Blackburn has a boss and he has a boss... (and) Bungie has over 800 employees. I think those who pull the red pencil (with their recycle- and repeat agenda) are responsible. Blackburn was thrown in at the deep end. One just has to ask himself who or how many are making profit with this mess?

Modifié par Daemon White : 12/1/2022 8:10:10 PMLiterally just one season. Come on. Reversed decision on Sunsetting equipment, was there to build up from Beyond Light into Season of the Lost, Witch Queen was a fantastic campaign, relatively quick corrections on Transmog and Crafting requirement reductions, return of plenty of sunset weapons from Luke Smith's time, revamped vendors with engram focusing, Light 3.0 subclass and new verbs aren't bad with one issue of Arc Warlock Supers. Yet to be seen on S19's comp revamp but I'm going to give it the college try. Season of Chosen (sorry, RISEN) and Haunted were fine. Content vaulting was announced to be over (yet to be seen), and Lightfall is still coming up so even if he goes, it won't be until Final Shape that whoever replaces him get to fully take credit. Plunder is an undeniable low point, what matters is how they recover. But my brother in light it was (so far) just the one season.

Nothing says bravery like BMing individuals by name, on their own platform ..where you know they won't respond... due to professionalism. Grow up. I have been butthurt supreme about many things D2, with yikes post history to prove it, but this is unacceptable.

Don’t be so dramatic.

Can't be the 3 community managers where maybe 1 of them actually interacts with the group . Remind me again what is Cozmo's actual job as a CM?

Modifié par DarknessImperia : 12/1/2022 9:38:54 PMA lot of problematic things are coming out with his reign, but he’s still better than Luke Smith so there’s that at least EDIT: Just wanted to add that I seriously doubt that every single decision boils down to his yes or no. They still have investors and sony to think about even with their “independence.” Here are things I do think should be a thing tho: - No event pass, we already purchased a season pass. Don’t make us pay for in game events separately - Include dungeons in season pass, why in the world are they separate purchases? If anything, include it in the price and stop up-charging, - Make every single season pass there has ever been available to earn the rewards that were missed in a season. If I don’t get to rank 100 this season, I SHOULD be able to switch passes and grind it when I feel like. I paid for that content, why in the world should I not have access to it? If halo can do it, you can too. - Ditch Sony and return to Microsoft. Get over the past and bury the hatchet. Xbox I’m general so SO much more consumer friendly and produces a lot of quality without raising prices. Sony, not so much. And this is coming from someone who has almost solely played on PS until about a year ago. - Learn to take criticism and use it wisely. Don’t listen to every forum brat, but still look at the opinions. Take what is useful, what is coming up most often, etc… And ultimately, MAKE A GAME. Stop forcing politics into it, stop forcing scummy minimization systems. Make a game. Take all of the good feedback and continue what you’re doing from there. Evaluate the negative feedback about every experience and actually do something about the things people are constantly bringing up. And for goodness sakes, tell whoever does class balancing and design that they need to get their lives together. We have a cool ninja, a space tank, and a box of cornflakes slowly floating through the abyss. I know y’all don’t want to make the warlock to crazy with abilities, but why in the world would you make a space wizard if you want to move away from that? Redesign it. Maybe look at a DND warlock type of vibe instead of a wizard if you really want to make the class cool without too much emphasis on abilities. I could see Voidwalker being a Hexblade style subclass tbh with the weakening and healing from kills and -blam!-. Lean into it, play into it, give it flavor. It has none, hence the abyssal cornflakes lol. Not that it’s bad (though nova bombs are both underpowered af), it’s just bland af. - Oh and delete airborn effectiveness, it’s dumb and ruins the feeling of the game on every level, especially with Dawnblade literally revolving around being in the air

For me it's more like anything after the Joe Staten work was used up is a failure.

Nothing else except, don't bring back Smith. -
Today's twab demonstrates that the team is deeply misguided and possibly unsalvageable.
-
Modifié par CordovaLark : 12/1/2022 2:35:13 PMThe main problem lies with Luke Smith. Whose -blam!- decisions have included vaulting a majority of the games content, paying for Dungeons, sunsetting weapons, introducing even more currency types. The game feels like a chore rather than ya know a video game.

Yes, but still a hundred times better than the Luke Smith Era!!!! Shooting a boss with an auto rifle, those where the days -
I think the Sony season is proving to be of no value. They have all this money but won’t invest in there big money maker. Be ready for more “returning” content and nothing new. Later Bungo.

Nah Joe is great. The issue is the sandbox team, poor play testing and loot acquisition. -
Honestly the season just before Beyond Light felt like that moment between D1 year 3 and D2. Everything felt right pretty much. Then they launched Stasis and launched the new subclasses layering ability cheese. So if it Was Joes idea to make those changes? Then yeah his fault. Probably not though. I will say that a raid design specialist is probably going to be more focused on PvE. Which is exactly how the game feels. Despite the 6000 words on PvP. It’s not great what they have in the pipeline for PvP and by making Invis hunters have a hand cannon range radar while Invis is just negligent. PvE game.

Who's Joe Blackburn again ?

Hardly. Once again, this is the shakeup in the player base that I said was going to happen when Bungie announced "Unification of Vision" before the release of Shadowkeep. Before that, Bungie (under the lash of Activision) was trying (and failing) to make a game for everyone, and made a game that NO ONE was happy with. A game where everyone was fighting for control over, and HOPING it would become the game they wanted. But with Unification of Vision, Bungie said, "We're done. This is the game we're going to make. Its going to be a particular kind of game, for a particular type of player." Within their own ranks, those who couldn't get behind the shift left Bungie and went to work elsewhere. I said that a similar shakeout was going to happen among the player base, because the game was going to change in ways that some of you weren't going to like. That some of you would be forced to re-evaluate your relationship to the game. ...and here we are. But the problem is that many of you haven't moved on. You keep playing the game, and hoping that if you voice your discontent that Bungie will stop moving down the path the game is evolving on. Others have stopped playing the game...but then continue to hang around the community to grind the axe of their discontent. While failing to notice that they are a very solid community of players---especially in PVE---who are quite happy with the way things are going. There are some outdated systems that need to be overhauled....and some QoL changes that need to be made. But no sense that the game is a "failure". In my own case, anything but. With each passing year the game is becoming more and more of what I had hoped it would become....and realizing more and more of its potential as an action-RPG/MMO-RPG/FPS hybrid.

Modifié par FataLVisioN_Oo : 11/30/2022 11:28:00 PMRemember when they left Activision because they said activation created a hostile work environment because they gave them deadlines? I think that translates to the same reason the workers quit Twitter after Elon asked them to work hard lol

I think Joe is doing the best with what he has. I’m Not sure how much has been his decisions versus old decisions under the old regime. But simply put…I fell in love with destiny during the red war caimpaign throuh to forsaken and all of year 2. Forsaken was probably the most fun I had with this game. My favorite content of all Time was whisper of the worm to zero Hour mission. I have played every season and the game felt like it was going to take a turn with season of arrivals and become great then we got beyond light. Everyone praised bungie when they left activision saying that activision was the problem and the greedy one. One of the first changes I remember bungie did in destiny was making it so you could not get any new eververse stuff in bright engrams. During season of the drifter I got every piece of loot from eververse just by playing. After that…you need bright dust or pony up cash. The simple Math of bungie leaving activision was that they lost two studios that were supporting bungie which arguably was the best period of the game. Since then we have gotten some good content mostly mixed in with forgettable content. I still think the team running destiny is just way too small. They still rely a lot on old game modes that are getting no updates making it worse each season that they ask us to grind those activities for forgettable loot. I am really curious to see how bungie does with lightfall versus beyond light when they rolled our stasis. Originally we were told that stasis would Be a new super but also a new element for guns and enemies. Now most people remember we got stasis supers with beyond light and one gun that was stasis. To this day there is not stasis shields that utilize stasis guns in end range content. We do have some enemies that use stasis but that took a while for them to put in the game. Wil bungie be able to roll out strand with strand weapons and strand enemies. Will this game feel More complete or will it take them another year to roll out changes for strand. There is no doubt the quality of destiny is was down compared to where it was. My excitement level for seasons has changed from being super excited to just continuing to play a season hoping they don’t disappoint me. There is still enough content to keep me around…but I’m not sure for how much longer I will go. I always compare it to the walking dead show. The walking dead in the beginning was so good basically through the years of the governor…but after that season the quality of the show dropped and it seems like it lost a lot of viewers at about the negan years and slowly continued to shed viewers until AMC just decided to move on from the main show and do spin offs. I honestly will tell you that I think bungie is content with where the game is at. I think they are bringing in enough money versus the amount of hours and team they are using. This is why I think next season will be similar to previous seasons. Unfortunately many of us remember year 2 and forsaken when the game was absolutely amazing. Which is why we are yearning for more destiny but I don’t know if we will ever get back to year 2 quality.

Modifié par Midnight : 12/1/2022 8:09:31 PMThe monetization of everything while adding nothing new for content is. *New pvp maps, not just 1 a year. *New raids, D1 raids need to stay there. *New social area *New secrets to discover, puzzles for solo players and community events. *New npc dialog * Multiple New strikes. Even though I don't do strikes anymore due to stale overplayed ones. Also, real cutscenes matter.
