And the person gets a PRIMARY KILL and it still takes 2.5 seconds to generate ammo into the weapon, which doesn’t have reserves; is that somehow busted in trials? And if it is, please tell me which primary weapon paired with this is so powerful that it would ruin the ammo economy.

Where did I mention trials??? No one cares about trials apart from the very limited number of people that play.. Would be horrific in regular playlists -

Most people can’t even secure a decent kill in PvP with a primary weapon, let alone consistently do it to regenerate ammo for an exotic weapon, that requires such, before dying & having your ammo set back to zero. You have any clue how unpredictable PvP can be? How many other weapons would oppose this build?

I have used double primary for months and months and do fine .. It’s not hard at all to get primary kills when the game practically aims for you -

Which is all good & fine. But that’s the thing. Ice breaker is an exotic. It takes that slot, and demands that if you wanna use it, you need to get kills with other legendary weapons. That could be a pulse rifle, a hand cannon, maybe a sidearm. But what is that person gonna do against someone who has a fusion rifle? A shotgun? Or a sniper with ammo already loaded up? Or a Grenade launcher? You’re not looking at the bigger picture. This isn’t D1. People freaked out the exact same way, when a stasis sidearm was made. Claiming it would ruin PvP and how busted of a gun it would be. Where are those same people now? They shut their mouths & went silent. They do so every time they’re proven wrong. And this is that same situation again. Ice breaker (as shown in my concept) would 100% be balanced.

Ability kills don’t grant ammo, itself. Picking up ammo does. And if you do the math, you’re actually coming up with two rounds less. 0 + 1 = 1 which means if you pick up a brick and the gun starts with zero, and you’re not running scavenger mods; you only get one 1. Not 3 like that of a normal sniper, that starts with 2. So your math is off, and your worries are unfounded. The only way this would be meaningful, is if the player builds into it. Gets a primary kill, gets the ammo regeneration going, runs to pick up the brick, and gets enough ammo to use the weapon. That’s a fair amount of setup, and which secured that; Deserves to use the weapon. This doesn’t even include stats like flinch. How the weapon handles in tight situations. Have you seen the handling stat? The aim assist? Anything To really justify your concern?

This gun requires a kill. And if you’re a lower skilled player, capable of only picking up green ammo; you’re in for a treat. You’re still gonna get your heads blown off, by far superior players. That ice breaker isn’t gonna magically make you a pro, let alone assist your kills in any way, outside of having a neat way to earn ammo, if you’re competent with your other weapon.

The weapon starts out with ZERO rounds in the magazine, which means you’re only able to get any ammo by picking up bricks (read the exotic concept) or got kills with your other gun. There’s absolutely nothing busted about that. Especially when you still have to include the fact that the gun needs 2 seconds to even load the rounds into the magazine after picking up ammo or getting a kill. So again; how is this busted. Like for real. Explain :/

Because you can get extra ammo without picking it up I don’t understand how you don’t see that as being broken…
