Eh.
If it isn’t made with the same cowboy grit and atmosphere as The Mandalorian then it isn’t a worthy reboot imo, that was the whole spirit of the show. Without that it’s just another Lost in Space reboot.

Especially with the Firefly IP, if they don’t get Joss Whedon involved at some point then I really doubt it’s gonna be anything spectacular, just another teeny space thing with a cult series name slapped on the front, like how the Scream series ended up (which isn’t bad, it’s just nothing like the films really). It would be like if they rebooted Buffy, without the Whedon influence it would end up being just another Teen Wolf or True Blood, which is fine but it would be hardly anything special or groundbreaking. Like the original Buffy film, it would just be bland and forgotten about in a few years.
