(Skull of direhamkara) replaces nova bomb with Lance or shatter you have an option. Increases the size of the explosions created by Nova bomb and nova warp, void grenades and melees.

90% of the warlock exotics need a rework. I made a huge list a while back (before I fell sick) on some new changes and stand by anyone who posts for changes to warlock gear. Especially in pvp where we still use the same two exotics since d1.

Agree....call it "Shape the Void" Bring Shatter and Lance back and maybe Voidlocks will be used again. Right now they are the least used subclass in the game.

Shouldn't need an exotic to make Nova bomb what it should be anyway. Seems to be the way they treat Warlocks typically anyway.

Dealing void ability damage gives you a stack Up to 70. Gain bonus super damage and super energy depending on the stacks. So you use nova bomb on a boss dps and get stacks for your next super. You use charged vortex nade on a major or a boss, you gain stacks. This way you are constantly working toward your next super and gain more damage the more stacks you have. And it works for pvp too. You shut down a super, you get more stacks. You throw a good nade, you get more stacks. And it helps with your second super so its not broken.

Exotics don't give you options between which form you use, aside from affecting different trees differently. For this to work, it would have to affect top tree by giving it shatter, which would be stupid OP, as it already has the seekers, and would have to give bottom tree lance, because Lance OR shatter on top tree would actually be busted. you can't say "gives bottom tree your choice of lance or shatter" because that isnt how super-affecting exotics work. it's one or the other, not your choice, and in no case has any exotic given TWO perks for a super. Increasing the size of the explosions created by Nova Bomb is also a little ridiculous, as it has a really good blast radius as is. However, increasing the blast radius of nova warp, void grenades, and melees i could see being useful. But honestly, ALL of those benefits on ONE exotic makes for a broken exotic.

Nah. If they’re going to fix it they should make it do something new. Delusions of Grandeur - Vortex Grenades and Nova Bomb vortex last longer when Devour is active. Nova Bomb kills triggers Devour and Devour grants additional energy for vortex grenades on refresh. Basically the duration of Vortex and vortex grenades is doubled. This helps improve the area denial abilities voidwalker has while in the main gameplay loop. The extra energy would just be 1.5x the current energy but only for vortex grenades. The idea I went with for this is that it would boost the undervalued area denial abilities of Bottom tree voidwalker when following the main gameplay loop. This also helps the very poor DPS of vortex nova Bomb. The activation of devour on nova Bomb kills is just there to give you an extra in for the loop. This wouldn’t be as much of a problem in pvp as it requires a devour kill to start it, boosting the power following your super or melee kill. Devouring your grenade kind of limits its utility as it’s based off using your grenade while active, but still allows you the utility of boosting your nova Bomb that way reliably. This would generally pair well with any perk or mod that helps regen grenade energy alongside devour. Demolitionist is really the best way to compliment this.

Skull was only good back then because players could get all their super back when used right so it didnt matter but with the current nerf, just making the super more deadly wont make it any better. Making the super more deadly and rewarding players with skill to give back more super energy to then use more supers is perfect. Thats literally one of the reasons the crown of tempest is top tier and the apotheseis veil is at the very bottom.
