Unless Beyond Light is revamping the class-specific swords already, I would very much like to see these weapons carry over for year 4. They’re incredibly unique (except for the warlock’s, but the design is sick), and they’re not overpowered in the slightest.
Edit - The warlock sword actually does have a unique attribute, that being the infinite guard trait. No other sword, if not then VERY few, has this guard perk (that aren’t exotic), making its defensive utility second to none for warlocks.
-
Sunset the Warlock one. Wack.
-
Dont worry im sure they will be re issued.
-
How am I going to 3 peak :,(
-
I don’t support any sunsetting, that said the warlock’s sword with whirlwind is actually just as op as FG or TH.
-
Yeah it definitely sucks for hunters and titans. And no infinite guard isn't an exclusive perk. Warlocks got shafted(as usual) with the class swords
-
Infinite guard is not actually infinite, and no one actually blocks with swords anyways. It doesn't even look as cool as the other two, and don't get me started on the fact the titan/hunter swords have completely different attack animations and intrinsic perks. Warlock sword is a massive disappointment, sunset it for all I care. That at least would stop gold tusk sword peaking in crucible and also giving movement speed.
-
Is this some Titan/Hunter problem that I am too warlock to understand
-
Nope that ship sailed when Bungie made the ultra smooth brain decision to lock 2 archetypes of swords away from Warlocks, even though lore wise we’re the sword masters with Dawnblade. Either remove the class exclusivity or leave them behind.

Modifié par Swiftlock : 9/28/2020 9:13:41 PMFalling Guillotine beats the class swords so badly that they don't matter anymore outside of aesthetics.
-
They were fun especially after having them after red war
-
or exotic related/quest legendries. mida mini, drang, rose, polaris mk2
-
Unfortunately, swords will get nerfed.
-
I just got goldtusk yesterday 😭
-
Right now, the only sword perks that matter are Relentless/Whirlwind. The sword itself doesn't matter. Thank God this is only useful in PvE, or it would've been nerfed to the ground already.
-
someone uses a sword not named Guillotine ...... to each their own I guess
-
Worldline zero has infinite guard iirc.
-
Weird that nobody ever remembers about assassins blade. It’s all “whirlwind this” and “relentless that”. It ait tho. More for me 😈
-
Naw, they'll just quite literally gift wrap them poorly in ribbon, call them "new" weapons with a similar name and force you to regrind them again. Sunset my gear, sunset my business.
-
Or just sunset nothing.
-
Bungie: We hear your pleas, so we are adding three new pursuit swords for each class that look EXACTLY like your old sword but with a cool new customizable blanket wrapped around it! All you have to do is pay $60+ for our expansion and wait 9 months after release for it. Oh, and don’t forget these are NEW weapons, totally not re-used assets! We appreciate your business and can’t wait for more of your money to bathe in. Honestly though I can see them doing this with the swords, and spare rations. It’s a wasted cash grab if they don’t.
-
Wave goodbye 👋 Bungie doesn’t care what you think. This whole thing was put into play a long time ago. It’s not changing because 5% of us don’t want SunSetting on the forums.
-
hell nah. delete the hell out of them, then unmount c-drive
-
Rip Traitors fate.
-
Modifié par Olórin : 9/28/2020 12:06:57 PMYeah I've made a Hunter/Sword build with Goldtusk and it's super fun, my main (Warlock) has the Fallen Guillotine so I guess next up would be the Titan specific sword since i don't want them all to have OP Guillotines.
-
Don't worry, they'll be back in 'Season of the [REDACTED]' with a limited time ornament in Eververse.
-
I wouldn't count on it.Bungie's position is clearly clear.Players must use new weapons instead of constantly running around with old weapons.
