Beyond light isn't even close to worth 50$
Starting with beyond light all of the content from the 60 dollar game you purchased a couple years ago will be removed from the game. We will be losing 6 strikes. Well ok as long as new light compensates for the amount of content we are losing. NOPE. We are getting ONE strike with Beyond Light. ONE. STRIKE. FOR A 50 DOLLAR EXPANSION. No new crucible maps. FIFTY DOLLARS. Taken king added multiple strikes and crucible maps. New abilities aren't an excuse for a lack of content. Taken king had new supers and it was 40 dollars. This doesn't add up. "bUt tHe cOsMoDromE iS cOMInG BAcK. aND oLD sTriKes" if I wanted to kill sepiks prime for the 5 millionth time I would load up d1 and play it. This is highway robbery if you ask me.

D2 is starting to generate a paywall that new players won't want to climb so if the trend continues you can expect new player influx to drop and new player retention to suffer. It will get to the point where Bungie won't be making enough money on new arrivals because they wont be staying long enough and whatever turnover model they have will cease to function. At this point they'll probably focus on catering to whomever could be considered the biggest spenders within the community. Depending on how that goes it could negatively impact the 5-15$ repeat spender population and creating a deadly cycle where more and more pander to the biggest spending group is required. When the big spenders finally gets bored and quits, the game will begin heading to sunset. This is all under the assumption that the paywall gets worse not better.

I have said it before but it needs to be said again and I do hope someone from bungie reads my comment. Bungie really needs to focus on one thing, seasonal or dlc but not both... Dlc release in a seasonal model will take away from the seasonal content and releasing dlc's will take away from seasonal content and makes seasonal content very thin...

That's why it's free on Xbox. You don't think it was delayed because of bugs they wanted to fix or all the content they needed to make, do you? They delayed it to be a launch title. BL is otherwise a $40 qol update you gotta pay for.

This is another reason why destiny never changes. Because this community is soft and just accepts whatever mediocre nonsense that bungie puts out. Its disgraceful. Bungie will NEVER achieve their original vision for this game. They are incapable of designing enough content. Its depressing to see two whole years of garbage destiny content. Will we ever get back to the Forsaken days or The Taken King? I really honestly doubt it. Imagine thinking a 50 dollar expansion with no new crucible or gambit maps with 1 new strike is worth the money. IMAGINE being that dumb.

Its probably 50$ because it was intended as Destiny 3 and they have to make money on time invested but yeah now that you talk about it, it feels lazy. Nightfall runs are gonna be real repetetive...

I hope Bungie gets to a point of financial difficulty that they are forced to downsize and even break off. Laying off their ‘workers’ who just provide cosmetic changes with no passion towards a project anymore. Bungie’s downfall will be the best thing that’s happened to them in this past decade, because all the talent and ambition has left the building already. Their shite DLC and learnt Activision money grabbing ways have corrupted a once mighty studio and we all know it. Management fault for sure. Another studio failed by shitty management. True cancer in the industry.

Also there will be a new dungeon, two new destinations, vault of glass, most likely 27 (if not 18) new subclasses, plenty of new armour and exotics etc. If you don't feel like it's worth your money then don't buy it, but don't go saying it's overpriced without even planning on trying it.

I preordered it, I’m not playing destiny currently am though (solely because I’m waiting) I’m actually kinda excited for beyond light lore wise and gameplay wise If you need a game that’ll hold you over thought until November then I suggest Divinity original sin 2. That game is amazing and gets even better when you play with friends

The amount of people saying that the subclasses alone are worth 50 dollars, almost the cost of a full AAA title mind you, is both baffling and scary. Different amounts of money mean different things to different people, this is true. But to compare the sheer amount of story, maps, strikes, a raid, and subclasses in the Taken King.... whether 50 dollars is a lot to you or not, we deserve better than we’ve been told so far. I do hope there are things we simply don’t know about yet so all the people commenting that I’m jumping the gun are actually proving me wrong.

7 commentairesI don't think the new Call of Duty is worth $60, instead of going onto the CoD forums to complain, I simply do not buy it. Based on everything I'm seeing, I think Beyond Light will be well worth $40, but that is just speculation, if you don't think it will be good, don't buy it, don't pre-order it, wait until it comes out.

I have to agree...i payd for the base them for 2 dlc's them i bought forsaken and them shadowkeep now ALL my work i herr will be worthless bcs of sunsetting and now im suppose to join this circle again?what after beyond light?Witch queen?and again my work on Beyond will become worthless bcs of sunsetting and them?Lightfall...its just not worth the money with sunsetting i see how worthless my time in the game is...i was soo hyped when season of Arrival began and to this day i wait for some fckn Nokris to finish shitty title the lore is repeating, no reason to play player cap is dropping but in the end destiny WILL end like Evolve.

Vote with your wallet and give the game up. I have not preordered or purchased anything from them for months... the game that cost me 60 on release, and 20-40 per dlc, is now free... so i won't be paying for the new stuff, especially since Bungie has grown fat on the backs of me and players like myself. Their game is full of cheaters, and they've become creatively bankrupt, someone else said it best- its not a legendary epic shooter anymore, it now feels like a generic Space Opera with weird guns.

honestly,I've paid for the base game,paid for the two DLCs that are now free and even getting removed,paid for forsaken and shadowkeep and I know that a lot of people did the same out of love for the game,but the game never gave us anything back except a higher priced dlc,my idea is to boycott the new dlc,I might be hyped up for the dlc,I really am,but I know,we know,they know it's not worth $40/50,times are tough I agree,but they could have at least said a thank you for supporting destiny, buying the DLCs and stuff...damn

18 commentairesIf $50 is an impactful amount of money in your life, you probably shouldn't be buying video games anyway. I'm not saying this in a snooty way, I'm serious. Personally, I'll buy it day one, cause I enjoy the game. My friends enjoy the game. We enjoy it together. But if you don't think it's Worth it or can't afford it, just don't buy it.

I wish Bungie would just sunset Destiny 2 and go full steam ahead on Destiny 3. Take a year off, leave the game be, and just come out with something good. All these band-aid fixes D2 has been going through since launch has bored me. They're isn't anything they can really do to get me excited anymore. Honestly, I dont even know if D3 would be enough.
