Start by looking into your internet because if it was a issue on Bungie's end more players would get reporting a problem. Start by resetting your router and then clearing your system's cache. Run a full internet diagnostic looking for issues. Look up those error codes you receive on Bungie.net or the Destiny app to bring up a help guide. Oh... no wifi as they are subject to interference so use a link cable or wifi boosters.

  • Stadia is known for issues. You also play on wifi known for having issues. You have not said that you have done the reset and cache clearance. You have not said that you have run a diagnostic or what your stats are. You have not said that you have looked up those error codes and followed Bungie's advise. Very few players have reported issues with you been the only one been on Stadia. Bungie has not reported any issues on their or system provider's end on their Twitter account. So start on your end... and do not say "my other games are running fine" as all games are different and Destiny needs higher than average signal quality.

  • Which is why you need a high quality internet signal due to Destiny using a P2P host system. Thousands are playing at any time and yet only a few report issues. As I said start on your end because if you have a problem there other than the guides Bungie released they can not do anything more to help.

  • On PC, the path between everyone now goes through Steam servers...there are no direct connections, so no true P2P. This was done to help prevent DDoS and other griefing. It is now impossible to know the IP address of other players in your instance. This is also used for connections to Bungie servers, so your PC connects to a Steam server which then passes the data on to a Bungie server. So, Beaver can now mean that there is an error between two machines over which the player has no control (a Steam server and either a player machine or a Bungie server), and that is the most likely explanation, as these errors did not become common until after Bungie changed the networking code to use Steam sockets, at the beginning of Season of the Worthy.

    I've also been getting consistent beavers, and it isnt just me. I was trying to do Zero Hour with my buddies, but EVERY TIME, one of us got beavered and only let 2 stay in. Even loading into the farm wasnt easy. It is not my Ethernet, I have 1 gigabyte/sec. download speed and a very quick upload speed as well. Got kicked from 2 consistent comp matches and am suspended now. If bungie doesnt fix this, I might just quit the game altogether. Keep in mind I've played Destiny since The House of Wolves, and this is one of the first huge problems that interrupts gameplay.

  • That is your problem... You think only on speed not the TRUE internet stats. Destiny only needs 1meg up and 1 down but most players recommend 5 each way. But you missed out the important stuff. NAT. Data loss rates. Signal latency/ping. Jitter. Not to mention you should not be using wifi to play online games due to signal interference they suffer from. You need to use a link cable but if that is not possible you need to use boosters. Why do you think I said run a internet diagnostic to look into these things. You blame Bungie but you never look closer to home first as it is easier to blame others and expect them to fix things they have no control over. So start by removing wifi. Resetting your router and then clearing your system's cache. And that diagnostic.

  • I believe it is a game issue due to the fact that after closing and opening Destiny 2, I haven't seen a loading issue yet.

  • Er... you do know I don't work for Bungie. Bungie staff use the BNGHelp tag or have Bungie in a blue box under their tag. Top community helpers have the mentor tag. The forum police have the Ninja tag. Me I am just a player who has been helping out for a few years and picked up a thing or two. I have had these issues and know what to look for and if needed fix it.

  • I am telling you, EVERY OTHER GAME that is not titled "Destiny 2" works more than fine. "You blame Bungie but you never look closer to home first as it is easier to blame others and expect them to fix things they have no control over." I ran a diagnostic check and we are in the clear FYI. I do not use WiFi, I use Ethernet. I blame Bungie because the beaver code has been attributed to their lack of server connectivity.

  • Oh my... You are asking for trouble not just with D2 but with all games if you do not except the fact you the internet is not stable and changes over time. You CAN NOT rely on just playing other games as they are all different. The Destiny games uses a P2P host system which needs a higher than average signal quality. In fact they make great early warning systems to when things start to go wrong. So do as I recommend. Look up those error codes on Bungie.net or the Destiny app to bring up a help guide. If you don't know what to do you need to talk to someone who does. You need that info to know what to look for and what to do when things go wrong.

  • So basically, what you're telling me to do is fix the internet of the players I join with before starting a match? I am not relying on other games, this issue took it's place after the Felwinter's Lie update. I understand how WiFi works, but I am not using it. Ethernet is a LAN(Local Area Network) and that is what I use. I would be perfectly happy if Bungie un-suspended me from competitive. Thanks for your help, but I honestly don't think I can run a diagnostic and internet reset in the short amount of time when I notice I am going to get Beavered. I appreciate what you've contributed to this community, but I feel as though 1, Destiny should have [u]game servers[/u] as it works much better and that is how most of the more popular games function 2, Get rid of the reputation Destiny 2 has built up(poor signal) and 3, Have a redemption service for those bugged out of comp via beaver. This happened in lots of public spaces as I went around. (If you're gonna say Bungie uses P2P here, please consider having that change somehow.) Thanks again for informing me, but as of now I am not satisfied with Destiny 2's management of internet connectivity.

  • Internet diagnostic 2 min at most. Reset and cache clearance 5 min and about 4/5 min to reboot your internet. Suspensions for leaving comp matches for any reason 30min to a hour. Looking up a error code 30 seconds. Sorry but another excuse.

  • Comp. suspensions stack and can last a week until reset. Could I have you explain this to me? So basically after I got kicked from the comp. my friends noted an enemy also got beavered. So why would Bungie use P2P when it can ruin more than one person's experience? Wouldn't you say its faulty?

  • No suspensions last 30min to a hour. Restrictions last 2 weeks for the first, 2 months for the second and permanent for the third and are not issued for leaving comp games. They are issued for ruining matches for others mainly through lagging which means you do have internet trouble.

  • Look up the restriction policy. You are reported by multiple players over multiple games even days. This flags your account. Bungie then investigates and if reason is found a warning is issued. If you ignore that warning and carry on you get more reports and another investigation. Then you get a second warning but this time with a 2 week restriction. If you carry on ruining matches for others... A third warning with a 2 month restriction. Then if Bungie needs to step in again you get no more warnings just fully kicked out of PvP. And Bungie can do this. D1 and D2 are their games not yours and you gave Bungie permission the first time you played in that small thing called the terms and conditions or EULA.
