Seriously , how many times have you seen someone post ,myself included , something so blatant when it comes to cheating and then have that post removed ? Why? Why don’t you deal with cheaters with that level of swiftness? You claim it’s for “showing their name” which is against rules for some reason, again why?
Cheaters should be exposed and highlighted. Everyone in the community deserves to know who they are. It’s not like someone is just harassing random guardians, it’s for rules being broken. Secondly you can just change your name on steam a trillion times so that argument is so invalid and dumb. And lastly it honestly sends the message that you’re more concerned about protecting cheaters rather than the people being cheated. Why don’t you use your “ninja” abilities in the actual game instead of forums? Or do I have to go to reddit instead to actually get cheaters noticed ?

That’s okay. We submitted video evidence through the proper form displaying the guy cheating and the response we got back was that “the video doesn’t prove he was cheating”. Like, bruh less than ten seconds into trials, he has super, and kills everyone on spawn. K.

I posted this in another thread, but I’ll post it here, too: We know cheaters suck, but posting names/videos on our forums of people who you think are cheating isn’t the correct place to post them because our Security Team hardly ever visits our forums, and our moderators aren’t equipped to handle them. For these reasons, posting suspected cheaters only creates witch hunts and does nothing to actually remove them from the game if they are found to be cheating. That’s why we created this Contact Form that our Security Team does monitor. If you want cheaters removed from the game, this form is how you do it.

If "Name-and-Shame" was allowed it would be abused by cheaters or other generally malevolent types to accuse innocent players of cheating to sow chaos. It will never be permitted, that won't change

Modifié par Seraphim Crypto : 4/11/2020 7:50:06 PMYou seem to confuse the Bungie Security Team with the Ninja Moderation Team. The reason we remove it "with that level of swiftness" is simply because we are an independant team. We're not even employed or paid by Bungie, it's volunteer work and we're located all over the world. We only moderate the forums on this website - nothing more. So you can say, we're forum dwellers just like you. And when we see Name and Shame, we remove it. I'll leave out here why we remove it - that has been discussed plenty of times now, and it's fine if you disagree with it. At least in my personal case, I often happen to stumble upon such posts while browsing the forums and reading stuff. I'm browsing the forums sorted by new posts first, so if someone posted something in the last few hours while I'm browsing, chances are I see (and remove) it. EDIT: Please note. As this thread primarily talks about the Name and Shame policy of the bungie.net website/companion app, I have now moved the discussion to the Companion-App forum, which is the intended forum for discussions about our policy.

Just report every ninja who locks threads as cheating. They're willingly defending cheating which makes them part of the problem and makes ninjas just as bad as the cheaters themselves.
-
Yea, I notice a lot of threads that mention cheaters get locked... but I see the same cheaters over and over again.

Modifié par Mad EYE Murffy : 4/11/2020 6:18:01 PMYou do understand why the legal system exists right? There’s a reason why the average forum dweller isn’t allowed to be judge, jury and executioner.

Modifié par Eyaside : 4/11/2020 6:14:34 AMYeah what if some galaxy brain tries to expose some guy for cheating but the guy actually wasn’t cheating? Do they deserve to get harassed because of one person’s judgement? Don’t care how obvious the cheating may be, the rule is a good one.

Cheaters don't go out and advertise the fact they are breaking the rules.
-
Ninjas are Walmart greeters their opinions don’t matter on here. That is just the facts, bungie does not pay them they just help out on here. :/

Dont waste your time tbf

In before this post gets locked for encouraging harassment.

Boom! Appeasement of the wrong doing only encourges it. i'm not a fan of the don't name and shame either. Sunlight is a great disinfectant.
-
Bungie's policy "Don't name shame on the forums or reddit, But name shame them on Youtube".
-
I totally agree with you . I am soooo tired og cheaters in trails . Im nearly done with this game for good . Its simple not acceptable. The cheaters keeps going for weeks . This weekenden we meet a cheater aim bot . And lost 6 win . Last weekend weekend meet him to . And i report him every time. He has 31 flawless. How is it possible he can keep playing . Its a JOKE !!
-
It's so ridiculous hat we can't name shame people even if u have evidence.
-
Forum moderators and the people who ban cheaters are not one and the same.

Like seraphim said they're volunteers, and also it obviously takes more time to see the post, them look into and ban them than just look at the post. I agree that they should get the anticheat better though, they are not even trying to hard. -
Preach, so true!!!!!!! All they give a shit about is streamers, you tubers and pro players......

When the player count falls way below, then and only then will bungie make any kind of effort to make fixes to this game!

What I dont understand is why bungie dont sort out pay to carry services that breed this sort of cheating. If you can buy a mod then get paid to carry people it's always gona be a problem, see them advertised everywhere its relentless and ruining the game more than anything else right now. Nip it in the bud and ban all pay to carry services end of.

I joined a trials lfg last night and every time the other team had players lag out. I left because it was really suspect. I messaged a player on the opposite team and apologised because it was 3 v 1 . On 3rd round. Just destroys the game for those that don’t cheat.
-
You are a disgrace. six hours playing, something I can do with an hour. six hours to catch a lighthouse, 5 passes, more than 9 cheaters. Disgusted.. shame.

Fricken boost. Just lost final win before legend to a bunch of cheating inbreds. 3-0 and they start lagging everywhere and shotgunning us in the face after teleportation. Sending in video reports is all i can do but i doubt bungie will do anything. It was going to be the end of a great run and these mother -blam!-ing sons of goats had to lagswitch their pansy asses to victory.
