I enjoy it more (now) than i did previous years of Destiny 2's PVP. But I do not like Destiny 2's PVP as much as I did D1s. Why? I'll try to keep this as short and to the point as I can. I think PVP in this game is suffering because (like a lot of other parts of this game0 of the legacy of Halo. So much of this game has been bent, broken, and smothered in a vain attempt to make it a successor to Halo, rather than letting it be its own game. The PVP in Destiny has some of the fastest moving player characters in competitive shooters. They also have augmented mobility. So Guardians can both move fast, AND move unpredictably. Compared to the (comparatively) slow, plodding movement of Spartans in Halo games. Which means this game's PVP has more in common with Titanfall than it does with Halo. So instead of building on that similarity and embracing its identity as this fast, furious, and rough-and-tumble PVP experience.....it tried to smother those characteristics, and play like Halo 5.5. And the more Bungie tries to do that, the more stitled and broken the game's PVP plays: Because the game's primary weapons dont' kill fast enough. And because the primary weapons don't kill fast enough to keep up with the speed of play, EVERY other aspect of this game's play and the tuning of its sandbox is thrown off. The result is----once you reach a certain level of play in the Crucible----no one gets in primary gun fights anymore. Because there is simply too much time to RUN AWAY from a losing gun fight. Fast moving players and slow-killing weapons are a BAD mix. So people get tired of landing their shots only to see their victim escape to cover with a sliver of health left. Which causes them to either spam special weapons or TEAM SHOOT in order to kill their victim quickly, and force a result. But this narrows game play options and limits play style options.... ....and people understandably get frustrated. All it would take, imo, is about a 25% reduction in TTK....to about 0.6 seconds....for the vast majority of these problems to go away....and to open up the game and allow it to breathe. ....and allow PVP to become that dueling game once more.

No because theres no skillgap and I would rather play something where my time spent getting good is rewarded and noticeable

What is wrong with crucible??

I’ve always enjoyed crucible through it’s ups and downs. The only reason I’ve really kept playing the gamemode is because I’m somewhat decent at it. I’m sure my story would be a lot different if I wasn’t too good at it.

My friend runs around with travelers chosen(Damaged) and he’s having a blast.
