The Boring Part of this Seasonal Story and an Idea, Mission was Great
Trying to remain objective here is challenging because of how long Ive been playing Destiny.
I think we are all over the 'go kill X many enemies and get orbs' "quests." The only reason I even got through the obelisk thing this week was because a clan member said it was worth it. Much to my surprise, the story and scenes were BADASS.
But why must it always be [i]worth it[/i]? It would be cool if the whole thing was enjoyable and didnt feel so boring and monotonous.
An idea might be random area invasion. So we already have the Enemy Is Moving Against Each Other mechanic. What about just change the name and focus the invasions to specific areas and it's always random, at random times, no longer than 15 minutes apart and no shorter than 4. Then make some dialogue that occurs each time the invasion starts and the dialogue goes out to everyone wherever they are. These invasions have a chance to drop area specific materials to forge something cool, whatever.
Maybe if your team clears multiple invasions fast enough, you get an invaded Farm, or something. Whatever.
Then tie that to the same weekly story format.
