i think that would solve both the limitations of the current mod system, solve the technical limitations of too many mods shown in the UI at one time, and still require decision making of the players.
Once the armor is masterworked you could pay like 10 Enhancement cores (for example) to reroll the element of the armor.
-
Nah. Just remove elemental affinity completely. It’s -blam!-in dumb.
-
Now would be a great time for glass needles to return.
-
The entire premise to Armor 2.0 was to give the players customization options. Boy, did Bungie screw that up (as usual).
-
let's just get rid of the elemental affinity. I thought the whole idea of armor 2.0 was to give players customization options. Not require us to keep 3 pieces of each armor peice for each affinity and be limited to what mods we can use in each type. It's created an entirely new mess of hoarding. Well now I need 3 arms with specific stats for PVE and maybe even 3 more with particular stats for PVP. Exotics. Forget about just needing 1. Now if it's something you use and actually have different weapons you use now you need 3 exotics of the same armor and let's hope it actually drops and/or comes in the affinity with the stats you want. I didn't mind random rolls but what they sold on us for Armor 2.0 sounded great. A way to eliminate the need for so much armor. Instead we're stuck with more.
-
Nah it's fine as is 👍
-
No bungie response means the cm's know this is not even remotely a possibility.
-
The 3 pieces I've gotten so far from Pit of Heresy are Arc. Is it supposed to be that way? So annoying....
-
My masterwork armor is from the three ascendant shards I got from the pass and one I bought from banshee. The rest is from the pit. I was about to masterwork my dunemarchers today before I realized they cost 3 ascendant shards. That's just dumb
-
I actually like this version of the suggestion. Investing the materials in it first is a good idea.
-
Dont think this would please too many people considering not every mod has an alignment to every affinity.
-
This is probably a good idea, but if you are going to pay 10 cores for the privilege, then you should just be able to choose the element.
-
Let’s just rid of it all together.
-
Modifié par TJ_Dot : 11/13/2019 11:12:37 PMI just want it gone. "Information Overload" my ass. Idk why you'd want to waste material on going back and forth
-
They also need to lessen the amount of redundant mods. But yes, I agree affinity needs to go... yesterday.
-
Modifié par iStevoEvo : 11/14/2019 4:28:02 AMRerolling for elemental affinity and stats would be awesome! It won’t cost 10 enhancement cores if you know anything about Bungie though. It will be super rare material that takes weeks to obtain.

Things I'm hoping to see next season: I'd like to see exotic armour pieces bypass elemental affinity, I'd be happy with that compromise to be able to put any of the mods from the arc, solar, or void setup into my exotic. Exotics are rare enough as it is, getting the right affinity on my fave exotics? I could play for decades and still never get that to happen 🤷♂️ Similarly, I'd like to see exotic weapons have a mod slot for artifact mods (not all mods, I can see how that could get crazy). Such a shame to get a catalyst for Ace of Spades this season and then be able to use it so little in pve because of the need for unstoppable, anti-barrier, and overload mods in pinnacle activities.

NO I’m NOT talking three recluses...... Get some fun load outs ya scrubs!!! ;o)
-
Bungie: we hear you, from next week it will cost 100 ascendent shards to re-roll your armour with 99% chance that it will stay the same, happy?
-
-
They could just add the vanilla D2 elemental mods back to the game
-
Modifié par Sarah Rose : 11/14/2019 10:21:47 AMAnd while we're at it, let us increase any stat by 1 at the cost of an enhancement prism, up until the stat cap. (far as I know, 62 is the highest on Legendary gear.)
-
This could work. Right now I just have 1 piece of armour in each slot with each affinity which have the best stats, then if I get a higher light / better stats I infuse it of shard it
-
No thanks, just want it gone.
-
Affinity is not the only problem. Where's stat reroll that masterworked 1.0 has? Come on, too much RNG is too much.
-
and make exotics affinity-less. We can only have 1 equipped anyway.
-
May be you don’t know that these burns affinities were designed to prevent system crashes. It’s not a roll. If anything Bungie is working towards no more burn affinity, however you’ll have to pay some more 150euros at least to get it fixed in a future future season.
