Destiny 2 on steam has been periodically crashing for me giving me an error saying 'problem reading game content' and telling me to verify game files. I have tried a few solutions from online but none have permanently fixed the issue. Here is what I have tried:
- Delete steam_appid.txt (this just allowed me to launch the game without the error but the game still crashes even after the file is deleted)
- Verify File Integrity
- Delete all game files except "packages" then verify game files
- Reinstall the entire game
The issue keeps happening, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Modifié par Riplay : 10/22/2019 9:41:44 PMHi there. For me is quite the same. It looks like theres some fishy things going on with steam interacting the game. I did everything you did, but at the end i got a refund from steam, the i said myself id give it another go. Uninstaling steam [if you plan to do that don't forget to backup your games using the steam backup functionality, otherwise just copying the games folders won't work], then i installed steam on a new folder in "C" so my new path now is C:\\Games\Steam, instead of the default C:\\Program files. Doing this allows me now to play up to 2 hours before that crash error happens again. It happens most commonly afterloading screens between campaign missions or most commonly when playing strikes or other activities with other people (oh and i do not do that checking the error prompts me to do) Hope that helps you play a bit the game before they patch this (altough its been since forever, sin e this error was there even on the battle net louncher, now more commonly on Steam...)
