With shadowkeep Bungie is attempting to actually make the world of Destiny feel alive and ever evolving, we're already seeing that in the tower but what I wanna see is our enemies evolve and change
For example let's say we make peace with the fallen between now and D3, what if all the fallen (outside of stuff like strikes, raids, public events etc.) Became non hostile or got replaced by scorn?
What if the red legion on the edz just straight up dipped on out of here and we completely destroyed the base?
What if the Hive on Mars lost territory thanks to the community event and escalation protocol?
What if the pyramidion went dark and the Vex abandoned it after brakion kicked the bucket?
What if Calus loyalists invaded Nessus as non hostile combatants and then just kept destroying Vex installations? (Shown by removing Vex architecture or texturing heavy destruction on them?)
When I hear evolving world I think of locations and races changing thanks to our efforts, season of the undying seems to be doing this but from what I can tell it won't be all that substantial. Once the season is over the most we'll get is the Vex no longer showing up in the moon, not all that exciting
But hey, that's just me

Replace with Sky Burner and Dust Giant Cabal instead of the invading Red Legion. Then it at least makes sense that they can keep going to some extent, they already had a foothold here. Why not again? They know how to do it.
