Malfeasance as an exotic feels rather lackluster to me, especially in pvp. The exotic perk requires you to land 5 hits in order to cause an explosion on a target. In pvp this is a niche perk that can only be taken advantage of at ranges where your damage drops off. Again this is nice but not worthy of an exotic slot. My recommendation would be to simply decrease the amount of shots it takes to proc by 1. Allowing the malfeasance to 4 shot at greater ranges than other 180s would make it more worthy of our exotic slot. Also considering that their are 180s that can 3 tap you (Luna, nf) that are only legendaries, I don't believe this is an outrageous thing to ask for. If your worried this would break pve, simply adjust the damage differently.

I haven’t managed to even get it since it dropped. Just be happy to have it
-
Give it fan fire for a catalyst. 1.5x rpm =270rpm... oh yeah. It still won’t kill as fast as the last word optimal or body shot ttk. It would be a beast though with its mag size and stability.
-
The problem with Malfeasance is that it is not consistent. It does not consistently fire at 180, it refuses to fire at times, and the perk does not always proc at 5 successful shots in PvP. When it is being consistent, it is a monster of a weapon. I have no issues with any other 180 hand cannon, just Malfeasance. Had a four month break and have been having fun using it along with the Vanguard pinnacle scout, but the inconsistencies are awful.

As it's one of my favorite HC exotics (a long with Ace and Crimson), would love a lil extra love for the weapon. As for 4 shots to proc the perk, I think that would be better for the catalyst or one that allows you to shoot different enemies and still have the slugs proc at the fifth shot, giving the chance to attack multiple enemies at once. I know it wouldnt make sense lorewise, but who says that we won't need to shoot different targets when the Man with the Golden Gun shows up again.

Modifié par Hawpy : 4/4/2019 3:47:54 AMI think it could do with some QoL changes, maybe faster handling or reload, aside from that it's fine. It's not incredible in PvP, but has a niche. Not incredible in PvE either, but again, has its place. Shockingly, the Gambit Exotic is best used in...…….Gambit. The abundance of Taken and beefy mobs that take a lot of shots to kill, plus the bonus damage to Invaders, make it a great general weapon to use and the perfect choice for the Sentry role. Making it be a guaranteed 4-shot kill in PvP would be very bad for the game. The gun has no recoil and very low bloom, a 4-hit kill at all distances simply should not be allowed on a weapon like that.

Modifié par DZA : 4/3/2019 1:42:50 AMThe problem is you. Nothing wrong with malfeasance. Its a gambit weapon. And its not bad in pvp either. You go in there thinking pvp with that weapon and get reck thats on you buddy. Its not your typical 180.

It's a solid 180 in PvP, and a teamshooting monster if your teammates are also using it. #RatKing2.0

It is the highest DPS kinetic exotic to the best of my knowledge
-
The worst part about malfeasance is that it’s outclassed by almost all the other kinetic exotic hand cannons. Thorn melts bossed and makes ads vanish. Ace has all around good stats and is great in PvP. Crimson is another ad clearing machine that returns health. Sturm and drang deal high damage and consistently reload each other. Malfeasance is at the bottom of the bucket with sun shot. Last word is just amazing minus the range
-
For the hassle to get it, in my opinion, it should be better than it is now. It's okay in gambit, but if i'm using an exotic slot there are better choices out there. I only use it if i'm more focused on fun than winning because honestly, it's probably one of the coolest looking hand cannon in the game.
-
Malfeasance kills just fine for me in PvP...
-
It's not a pvp weapon, it's a pve weapon. Buff Thorn, the pvp weapon that's trash in pvp and average in pve, chase those green orbs! R.I.P Thorn.
-
I think what would be cooler is if it was something like the Merciless. With every explosion of the built up bullets, the weapon increases in damage until the target is dead. Would make it DEADLY for Gambit blockers especially.

For everyone saying that it's a team shooting weapon and that stacking enough shots on an enemy together is the reason it shouldn't be buffed in pvp baffles me. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe malf is a 4 shot kill if your hitting your crits and a 5 shot if your landing mostly body shots. The only time the perk will help you is either A. Your all teamshoting an enemy outside your damage falloff ranges, in that case why aren't you using a pulse or a scout? Or B. You're all teamshotting somebody in their super. I understand that this weapon is meant for gambit. In that game mode yes it excels wonderfully. I'm only saying that it lacks a reason to use outside of that game mode. Having a diverse sandbox in this game is good for all players and having a wide variety of viable options is good for the game. I'm not saying make malfeasance the next lunas, I'm saying that making it more worthy of our exotic slot outside of gambit creates weapon diversity and more enjoyment for everybody. Or are we just going to use lunar, nf, ward cliff, and dust rock the rest of this games lifespan? This is my opinion, I would love to hear yours.

It's alright for pvp, works best in gambit. Great for taking down roaming supers though.
-
Think back to what Drifter said when you got it. "We won't need to shoot first, we'll just need to get our shots in". It's PVE focused and those shots do give it a sort of explosive round/ timed payload feel not to mention it melts supers faster than most primaries. If you had a whole team of people using it no one would survive very easily. You fire 3 rounds per second, it takes 4 shots minimum to kill a guy and 5 shots will almost kill a guy where a scout or another long range weapon will be the best possible choice. If you and another teammate shoot the same guy the shots will still explode if you hit 3 and he hit 2, the guy will die as fast if not faster than luna. This weapon strongly supports team shooting.
-
It wasnt' designed for Crucible use. Its for Gambit and PVE...where it is a very powerful (if unspectacular) weapon. It makes short work of the taken, bosses and mini-bosses.
-
imo its fine, Ive gotten a Sum of All Tears with it and it shreds supers. It shuts down invaders with ease and melts Taken. But it is outclassed by other exotic hand cannons. Im with The Big Cheese, make it a legendary
-
More like just make it a legendary. It would be an awesome legendary weapon and I bet it's use would skyrocket.
-
Do you fight taken in pvp? So why use a gambit exotic made for gambit mode be changed to cater to a pvp cry baby like you
-
Yes spent long time grinding for it and then got it, and was like, this is fun, but needs a buff. Change it to landing 3 shots make them explode. Also sorry for the bad grammar, I'm using my phone.
-
Destroys in Gambit. I’ve used it in Last Wish a few times. Not much elsewhere.
-
I've been using it in PVP and it does pretty decently. Even stopped a charging Titan dead in her tracks .. wonderful
-
Yes buff it!
