I understand that you want everything to be relevant but putting in effort to get to max level does not feel rewarding enough.
I love games where if you over level for content you feel powerful, but here it feels more of a waste of time.
At least make it so if we are 50 levels above content we deal a decent amount more damage and take less damage more than we do now.
It is satisfying to actually feel strong and be strong when over leveled.

Try being a lvl 15 and taking on the Forges Saboteur on the out skirts. I was waiting there for one, a little way back and this lvl 15 played was walking around when it dropped. All the Saboteur had to do is look at him and smashed him to bits, wish I recorded it now cos the player kept going back and back and I think on the 10th time gave up
At least make it so if we are 50 levels above content we deal a decent amount more damage and take less damage more than we do now.
For most every PVE activity this is the way things work unless its normalized like Gambit where everyone is brought to the same level as enemies to level the playing field a bit. You cap out at 50 levels above and below enemies. So you will do more damage and take less damage from a level 600 enemy at 650 then when you were at 600. And as others have pointed out, enemies who are more than 50 above you will be immune.
-
Exactly. I earned my level. Time to smash the low level scum.
-
Don't know that it would work in Destiny, but Diablo III has 10 or 12 levels of difficulty (been a while since I played). You just wanna run around destroying enemies? Choose the low setting. You want more of a challenge and better loot? Scale it higher. Progressing higher and higher gave a much better sense of achievement than does Destiny's power-gating system.
-
Yes let me take my 650 guardian into Leviathan raid and laugh as I cake walk through it not even bothering to shoot anything but the boss.
-
I'd rather unlock more and better perks for my subclass than have to grind for a number set to lock a player from activities.
-
I dunno man. I feel like it already mean something. As Cosmo said...it definitely scales. Everything at Max Power Level (besides Gambit) feels pretty easy to be honest - which is right where it should be. Destiny isn't your traditional MMO, where the mobs you first started fighting against become absolute trash. I mean, they do - but if you're a baffoon they can still kill you...which I think is totally fine in the concept of a "shooter" style game.

Modifié par Outlier78 : 2/19/2019 6:05:07 PMThe game has become so stale. Nothing new, just same old stuff every week. Same bounties, same gear, vendors outdated and the list of boredom keeps going. I asked Zavala if he agreed with my statement and he said: “indeed”. So, there you have it. Even the Vanguard agree.

If you don’t think heavy is powerful, then you are playing the game hilariously wrong. Acruis.Thunderlord. Whisper. All those guns are so damn good they shouldn’t be usable outside the raids, but they are, which is why heavy is so strong.
-
Why do you want PvE to be even easier? What would be the fun in that?
-
I don't know about you but I enjoy not 1 shoting everything that lives with a smg or auto rifle that would be too easy. However I would like kinetic primaries to do more damage to enemies shields closer to what they were in d. I also think all weapons with triple tap should still take advantage of the perk even when the target has a shield.
-
Have you done a strike or a forge lately? Between Nova Bomb, Blade Barrage, and Fist of Havoc, we are killing adds and bosses so fast, fights are over before they even start.
-
Modifié par huskerz80 : 2/20/2019 7:10:30 AMAgreed, Why are we grinding for power level if everything is auto leveled? Does make any sense. Please do away with light level. Getting two shotted by a guardian 100 levels below you in iron banner is complete trash and needs some "attention".
-
No This would fracture the already dwindling playlist(crucible quick play), Maybe make it a pre requisite in comp. like to compete you have to be X. But its crap for a game mode thats skill based. Bungie already wastes to much time on the pvp component of the game. It need to focus on the social aspect and campaign or story elements of game. Crucible is just practice for guardians to tackle the darknesss. Thats all it ever was. It a great mode to have i love it...but...whatever. Anyway power will not help make crucible better in any way.

Not possible. It’s like you’re asking them to work or something. Impossible feat. But as a consolation prize, fusion rifles will now be nerfed. Oh and as a bonus they’ll nerf warlocks a bit more.

Modifié par Whopping Dingers : 2/20/2019 8:17:54 AMBump for your name (lol good old RP).

Yet when enemies are 50 levels above you they are immune to your guns and powers.
-
I miss in Borderlands 2 where enemies would just explode from hitting u if u were way higher level than them. Good times lol
-
I'm kitting up to start OP leveling in Borderlands 2 now and no matter how much time it takes I always have new and stronger gear/weapons to look forward to. I will get my freaking Conference Call someday....
-
It does mean something in High level activities, if you load into a max handicap nightfall at 650 light its going to be easy, if you load into Last wish as a 600+ its going to be easier than being 580, you deal more damage and can take more, yes you can notice it, just look at the damage we can do to last wish bosses vs the first week or 3 when we where under power.. you wont notice it in Patrol and Strikes as those are push over activities meant for low light.
-
Light level is just a content access point. It means nothing else.
-
Warframe feels like that. You feel too op on low levels but high levels you feel either powerful or just enough to deal damage.
-
That would require them to rework the entire system to actually have light and levels matter beyond the "They're stronger than you and kill you swifter" or "You take slightly less damage". That's what regular MMO-style games do, aside from the latter expansions for World of Warcraft which ran with the level normalization so no matter where you start/progress to you're on a level field in the new content. (Note: I made sure to say regular, FFXIV is an exception as it has both normalization and progression at the same time) There should be a breaking point where only the new content and other players are an obstacle, which doesn't work in the scheme of Destiny 1/2 because that would mean that patrols, old raids and strikes would eventually become even more trivial. It would also mean classes and races would have to have intrinsic traits like HP, Shield Strength, Stat Adjustments and other things to accommodate for progress like that. The current HP system is a long standing carry over from the latter Halo games, its also why different armor types don't reduce different levels of damage.
-
This is something I think IB really did well with power actually mattering. A 500 could pop super on a 650 and get demolished
-
My main thing is that even at the start of the game u can 1 shot head shot most enemies. How would you do that quicker? The game is just built in a way where your level determines what content you can access (free or paid) and once you are at max light you can fight and kill everything with ease but the reverse is also kinda true? It's weird if you think about it, there's basically a damage ceiling and with Whisper/Sleeper/Thunderlord/1k Voices/Anarchy/Blade Barrage and Chaos Reach we have pretty much hit that damage ceiling for boss melting, as for ads like i said earlier just use a HC. They would probably have to rework all enemy damage and Hp pools to make power level more effective
Sorry if I missed some exotics, just my 2 cents on the matter
-
I was running the forges yesterday and they seemed harder when I was at 650 than when I was at 630! The ads just keep on hitting me and I can't recover ever, even when I'm at or above their power level. Felt like some handicapped nightfall with glass on, just trying to do the forges
