Rumor has it next major Destiny release will have PvP areas on PvE patrol zones.
IMO...Worst idea ever, this game is about saving the universe, and fighting gods, I don't want to be trying to do a quest, mission, or public event while i'm getting sniped by a troll with Queensbreaker.
Edit: The rumor came from Reddit (Sorry, don't have a link) from someone called AnontheNine (probably spelled that wrong) but he made several predictions before Forsaken and all came true....
Edit #2: One Guardian pointed out it could be used for Faction Rallies, which actually doesn't sound too bad.

You’re a couple of years too late. PvP has already ruined the game and it didn’t even need to be added to patrols to do it.
-
I don’t think it’s a bad idea, I imagine there will only be certain areas , sort of like the dark zone in the division...sounds ok to me

Modifié par Land : 1/18/2019 4:21:10 PMEven Moses couldn’t part the sea of tears that would result
-
Take it easy, in a month 98% of the playerbase will disappear, noone will kill you 🤣
-
I thought PVE was "harder" and more challenging than PVP!?! This seems like a lame complaint. Just imagine that future patrol zones will have random yellow bar enemies that have less PREDICTABLE attack patterns. PVE whiners.

Lol, a rumor you clearly misunderstood. More proof that children shouldn't be allowed on the internet

Oh god, no. If this ends up happening, the game is -blam!-ed. Why add the worst part of the game to PvE? It was bad enough when it was limited to its own gamemode.
-
Some people are incredibly stupid, anontheuseless “leaks” a lot of shit, majority of his posts, he deletes before they get traction. And his forsaken post was generically bland before he added onto it.

Modifié par aNudistBuddhist : 1/18/2019 6:33:54 PMI completely disagree. I would love to embrace the Darkness and become a rogue Guardian that murdered, betrayed, and deceived other Guardians for my personal gain. Fuuck the Vanguard. Zavala is a little school boy bitch Titan. And Ikora is just a typical n... ya know..... no haired havin’ bald bitch! Seems like it would be a cool western, space cowboy, outlaw feel the game.
-
Tbh it just doesn't make sense. Humanity is struggling to survive. We are its protector. Why would we want to kill each other? Unless we are able to side with the dark, it just seems like pointless pvp.
-
If they do implement it, there will have to be some huge ttk adjustments. I also suspect it may be somewhat like dark souls pvp. Either way it will definitely has lore and story implications.
-
That would be sweet

Sounds like somebody at Bungie likes playing GTA V. I don't like PvP. At all. Especially in a game where a person's internet connection can be manipulated to gain an unfair advantage. Especially when there are modded controllers, USB mods for modded rates of fire. No thanks!!! In fact, due to the above mentioned reasons, just remove all PvP from the Destiny universe in D3. If there even is a D3.

Modifié par TheShadow-cali : 1/18/2019 1:10:31 AMIt's funny because if this is true, Gameformer before D1 released without directly saying it made it appear that that is how D1 was going to be among other things that didn't take place and Bungie didn't help that one bit. So here it is 4 years later and they're going to try this?
Lol...
-
The best part will be when they place top tier equipment behind their PvPvE activity to, ah, incentivize us to try out their brilliant new idea
-
So what you're saying is you dont want a challenge
-
it didn’t ruin world of warcraft. i guarantee you will be able to opt in and out of world pvp.
-
I love that last edit idea. Dude!
-
If that turns out to be how they do faction rallies I’ll be disappointed. I want zero PvP. I imagine there’d be an opt in or out option, but no alternative if you opt out. You’d just be out of luck. That’s how Bungie likes to do things. They want you to play exactly how they want. It’s so rigid. They seem to be so against player options and it squanders the potential of this game so much. Even their claim to implement “meaningful choices” in regards to upgrading gear was misleading because all they did was severely slow down the rate at which you could upgrade gear with the core system.
-
This is exactly why Bungie never tries anything new and If they do they get sh*t on if they don't people probably like you will complain
-
I'll Wardcliff you and the chest that spawns from public events, can't fn wait!!!!!!

Modifié par kipod : 1/18/2019 2:58:38 AMI agree as a pve fan, I don't wanna get killed over and over while im doing a quest in patrol keep if they want to do such a thing, they need to make it optinal, otherwise keep the pve in pve and vice versa for pvp. Just imagine trying to do a flashpoint and getting spawn sniped for hours on end the greifing will get horrible, were talking even worse than launch of warmind where people summoned their sparrows in pvp, ran others over and went under the map.

DZ from division says hi

I mean, it's a fun idea in theory, but it would have to be strictly voluntary or restricted to specific zones in the game designated for mixed PvP/PvE content. I suspect the Gambit game mode was meant to test this out, and while again, not a bad idea in theory, the implementation leaves a lot to be desired. I used to play MUDs with optional PvP in an open world mixed PvP/PvE, but you had to be in the clan system to attack other players or be attacked. Also, the game ran on a dedicated server so while there were exploits to be found, none involved attacking other players' IP addresses with DDoS attacks. :P (Although some cheaters who got banned did try to DDoS the game server itself on occasion, or at least spam the crap out of open channels with advertisements for other MUDs ;P) It's not the idea of open world mixed PvP/PvE that bothers me, but rather I worry about how it would be implemented.

You're wrong. Do you need a carebear sever? A hug?
