Forge Key Mold & Mysterious Box Issue
Currently, we are aware of players reporting issues regarding the Black Armory Key Mold and Mysterious Box. At this time we are actively investigating these reports and ask that players who believe to be impacted by this comment below in this thread so we can efficiently gather data on the matter.
Please note this thread's focus is to assist with a potential future resolution and not handle individual requests at this time.

I have 3 characters, all at cap power and all had the mysterious box quest with 3 keys already. One had a completed rare bounty, one had a partially completed rare bounty and the third had no rare bounty. I picked up the key mold with the character that had no rare bounty, and I have not been able to pick up the key mold on the other two characters. It is unacceptable to continue to have these kind of issues crop up which could be avoided if you would PLAY TEST YOUR GAME before you drop content. It's pretty clear that you don't. Making rare bounty RNG drops along with time gated steps part of this quest only compounds the problem. You are not listening to the community. We have spoken loud and clear about the RNG issue as it relates to quests, triumphs, seals, etc. I am still trying to get a ship and ghost for the dreaming city seal, shouldn't these be about grinding and completing content, not having lucky RNG? It's very discouraging. If you want to drive your player base away to other games, this is the way to do it. Please stop telling us that you are listening, and SHOW US that you are listening by actually taking action on the issues we bring up. Another nail in Destiny 2's coffin. You need to fix this key mold problem TODAY. Find a way. Thanks for reading.

4 commentairesSerious question Bungie, do you actually hate your players? I haven't seen a more user-hostile set of mechanics than what I've seen in the last week. This isn't a "bug" or an "issue". You designed this train wreck intentionally to create an artificially tedious grind and now you're trying to walk it back. Consider how broken this sequence of events is for a moment: 1. I had already completed a rare bounty on my Warlock last week, without it having any special impact on this questline. 2. I had a rare bounty on my Hunter ready to go this reset, but guess what? I picked up the black armory mold on my Warlock, with no indication it was account-locked. 3. So, now I am time-gated for the Shattered Throne this week, with my Hunter having a rare bounty, but no mold. My Warlock has a mold, but no bounty. 4. The rare bounty step is [i]before[/i] the Shattered Throne step, so I either get lucky on my Warlock and find another rare bounty before reset (then tediously grind through it again), or I can go screw myself for three weeks. There's exactly zero chance you fix this before reset and even less chance that you'll modify the quest steps to remove the Shattered Throne. Anyone in my position can just get bent and eat it. You bang on about "player engagement", then you create demoralising situations like this and practically beg your players to find an excuse to quit the grind altogether. I guess you're doing me a favour. I probably play this game too much. Now is as good a time as any to cut back.

Same is happening to me. Got the quest on my main and finished it completely. Tried to get it on my lock that has a rare bounty, and it's not there. Going to be really crappy if you can't get this fixed before Shattered Throne is gone.

ITS BROKEN MYSTERY SOLVED HARDY BOYS Y'all have hotfixed stuff within HOURS. Why have we been left hanging with no communication for DAYS?

1 commentaireAgain Bungie has shown their true feelings about the community. All day yesterday they did not resolve or even communicate to us about this problem. All we heard all day from everyone at Bungie was how happy THEY were at breaking away from Activision. I mean, if they stopped popping bottles and worked on a solution before reset then maybe I would be more enthusiastic about them becoming independent.

Our window of opportunity to complete this pursuit before having to wait 3 weeks is diminishing. Please communicate with us to at least set our expectations. I have no doubt as a team you are working to solve the issue, but working in a vacuum is causing avoidable anxiety to your community.

I have been impacted like others. I picked up the key mold on my Titan first believing that this would drop for each character. Then immediately switch to my Warlock which was the first character I wanted to complete the steps on to begin with (Yes, I should have picked it up on my Warlock first, but just happened to be on my Titan in the tower at the time). However, Ada did not give my Warlock the mold. Please fix this before the shattered throne goes away after this week. Thank you in advance. P.S. I am sincerely at my graces end with this game and all the issues since release of D2, including for example, Triumphs still not fixed, e.g., Fastidious Miser (no it has not been fixed for me). Fixing this issue in enough time for us to complete the Shattered Throne would restore some faith in Bungie and the game.

Modifié par StrikieChan : 1/10/2019 6:35:29 PMBlack Armory Key Mold is only available on one character. If you by mistake grabbed it on the wrong character, you're locked into it. Even if you delete it, your other characters aren't able to pick up the quest. This is extremely frustrating, not only because of the RNG aspect of getting a "rare" (too rare imo) bounty to drop ONLY for the character you have the quest on - with limited chances per day, but on top of that we need to get that done and then also complete the Shattered Throne dungeon afterwards. Unless Bungie expects us to have to wait 3 more weeks, this needs to be fixed well before Tuesday reset. Edit: day two of doing all of Ada-1's bounties without having a "rare" bounty drop. Unbelievable.

The Fishhook key will not drop for me. I will get the box, but nothing comes out of it. Its been this way since the day the second forge opened.

Affected by this on pc. Please push a fix soon. Having a quest step timegated behind a piece of content that only comes every third week in addition to one that is dependant entirely on rng with a limited amount of chances is bad enough when you actually have the ability to take the quest itself, let alone when you can only get it on a single character. Pretty absurd.

I'm stuck with a calibrated weapon frame that can't be abandoned. Therefore I'm locked out of the content I paid for. I started the quest on my Warlock and now it's stuck because of the radiant matrix glitch. A glitch that's been going on for over a month. I'm sick of you guys dragging your feet on stuff like this. But you're quick to announce your divorce from Activision.

Is the last forge locked for one character? i got it on my hunter but neither my warlock nor my titan. I got rare bounty for all three characters but got the key mold on one character, hunter. I mean can i partially purchase one of for your DLC? I don't think so! I mean don't you guys test the program before rolling it out?! You had us waiting for the last forge but you couldn't get yourself organized to test the program effectively before roll out. You guys have a really good thing going on, please dont find a way to screw it up, it will be upsetting.
