Redrix's Broadsword Quest Steps
Hey all,
Yesterday, we announced the goal of removing time pressure associated with Glory ranks, and that Pinnacle Crucible rewards will be awarded via quests starting in Season 4.
Redrix’s Claymore will remain exclusive to Season 3. The Redrix’s Broadsword will be available through a pinnacle weapon questline in Season 4 offered by Lord Shaxx. To set expectations, here are the quest steps that must be completed in order to acquire Redrix’s Broadsword:

• In the Crucible. Defeat 200 opponents with Pulse Rifle final blows.

• Reach Valor Rank “Heroic”
[b]Step 3: [/b]
• In the Crucible. Earn 75 Double Plays.

• In the Crucible. Defeat 150 opponents with precision final blows from any Pulse Rifle.

• In the Crucible, defeat 50 opponents with Arc final blows
• In the Crucible, defeat 50 opponents with Solar final blows
• In the Crucible, defeat 50 opponents with Void final blows

• Complete 25 Crucible matches in Quickplay (Rotators count)
• Complete 25 Crucible matches in Competitive
• Complete 25 Crucible matches in Rumble

• Complete 20 Crucible Bounties

• Reset your Valor rank 5 times within a single season

7 commentairesFML they would go and drop a double valor weekend when i am already at max valor and 2.5 steps away from reset rank step. and of course on wednesday i turned in my crucible bounties i was hoarding. I might of actually been able to make use of the extra valor if i had know this was coming. Did they only announce the double valor weekend in yesterdays twab? or was it posted somewhere else earlier?

1 commentaireCould you do this quest in season 5. It says reset 5 times within a season. Could you get to that step, wait, then in season 5 go hard in the crucible and complete that step? I'm just guessing. I don't know if this quest carries between seasons.

I finished mine. /// Can someone confirm of it counts if you reset before the last step, I'm on it currently, I reset twice before I got to it and once when I had it but it just shows a box for 5 resets not a progress bar. So will I get my Broadsword in 2 resets?

6 commentairesI'm hoping there will be more community push for adjustments to this quest. I don't mind a hard even insane grind. However they have to revise the Reset Valor Rank 5 times portion in a season. Either increase the Valor awarded or Just make it open ended where you can reset your rank 5 times no matter how many seasons it takes. This quest just seems impossible.

8 commentairesThere is not a single step that is retroactive, for anyone wondering. Get out there and play. Literally if you just play crucible then this quest is easily doable. There was a lot of confusion about the last step of "Reset 5 times" and it counting the whole time you are playing. It does not. I don't like having to have to reset it 6 different times despite it only saying 5. It states, "Reset your valor rank 5 times within a single season" though I am going to have to reset it 6. I'll probably get 2 or 3 off of my grind for Luna's Howl/But Not Forgotten, but it's a meaningless grind and rewards quantity over quality (referring to the valor grind, not glory). If it was more intensive to a player's own skill I think it would be much nicer. If there is a double or triple valor weekend I would love if someone could tell me. If there is one and I have already reset my valor rank the 6 times I have to, I will be really frustrated that someone only has to put in 1/2 or 1/3 of the work I did. Then we are left with the same issue of people getting higher tiered rewards in less effort, which is what the whole controversy behind this was in the first place.

3 commentairesi’m on the step where i’m supposed to reset my valor rank 5 times but that seems to be kind of ridiculous to me. how on earth am i supposed to reset it 5 times in one season like bungie that’s a lot of crucible 😳 i only did it like twice last season and i was on constantly playing crucible because there was nothing else to do, i just think they should reduce it down to 3 or 4 ranks that’d be at least a little bit easier. thoughts anyone?

1 commentaireya i should get an emblem for playing quickplay solo and having to reset rank 5 times...just that deserves an emblem by itself.....im not the best pvp player but the amount of trash playing this game is unbelievable.

If you’re doing the Broadsword quest, after you’ve done step 7, the bounties... you have to reset your valour rant 5 times in a season, it still doesn’t count if you’ve already reset it once, twice or even three times already this season, you start from zero from this point onwards.. even though it states ‘5 times in a season’ it doesn’t count even up to that point you hand in your last bounty, just a friendly warning to let you guys know.. @dmg04 you need to state this more clearly..

7 commentairesModifié par leukoplast : 9/17/2018 11:04:38 AMI just finally got past the double-play step (way too circumstantial for my tastes, bad kind of grind Bungie) and am working on the step for 150 precision kills when I decided to check to see what other ridiculous steps are left. Gotta say, the reset valor rank 5 times is absolutely insane beyond belief. And I thought it was originally reset 3 times? How many people reset rank 5 times last season, maybe 20 people? I played the hell out of crucible last season (was the only thing for me to do in D2 for like 3 months) and only managed to reset ONCE. This step needs some significant nerfing. The time it took people in fireteams to get the original claymore was FAR less than this step alone (some could get it done in a single weekend with sweaty fireteams). Resetting 5 times in one season is impossible unless you only play crucible for at least 6 hours a day while in a fireteam steamrolling with 5x win streaks 100% of the time for 5 months straight. I love grind, don't get me wrong, but as a solo player that is already screwed out of the vast majority of the best loot in the game, this is too much. Was bad enough getting 200 regular pulse rifles kills in crucible (took forever) now I have to do nearly the same but with precision kills only? If I only had to reset twice this would be something worth grinding for... but my goodness, resetting 5 times? I hope this was just put in as a temporary step to appease the claymore whiners when the broadswoard was announced (in order to let them completely forget about the claymore). I'm losing my sanity playing crucible with weapons I hate (especially when I am on a forced losing streak due to the "Bungie algorithm" in which my weapons deal far less damage, I take far more damage, and the chances of stacked teams against me are amplified).

3 commentairesI'm on the step to get double plays, and I've gotten at least we'll over 15 by now but the game isn't tracking the progress on the quest. Even though the double play medals clearly pop up on my screen. Is this a bug?

5 commentairesI'm a casual player and this quest doesn't seem bad. I was a pve player but wanted trials weapon and tried trials and played 20+ matches and won only 3. Now I'm getting better to the point I join a team that was loosing by 36 points came back and won by 1 point, got a message on PSN from a player on the loosing team that they was gonna report me and that shit got me happy to know I'm getting better. The only part I had issues with was the double kills where I had a bug and it wasn't registering my kills so I lost about 20. But I'm at step 5 and I'm about to reset for this season. The quest is long as I might not raid much but once I reach the reset step I'll just take advantage to 2xp, 3xp. So yeah it's not that bad. If you got ace then this is that but with more steps
