This whole effort is pointless if the community can't weigh in, so let's try this again.
Welcome back Guardians! I can hardly believe it myself, but I'm back for day 4 of my personal crusade to get the Sunshot a mag buff. My sincerest thanks to everyone who's stuck with me and supported the cause. To the naysayers, I think that 3 consecutive days at #1 on trending shows that people do in fact care.
I wanted to address some things that I've seen popping up:
The fully masterworked sunshot has: 74 Range and 68 Stability
The catalyst Stability buff works, but not like you'd expect
*No recoil reduction on initial shot, but a tighter spread on follow up shots
The sunshot has 92 Handling, which is the best you can get on a hand cannon
The exotic I pair with the Sunshot: Ophidian Aspects
*Faster reload/faster handling/increased melee distance
Yesterday I was using the Sunshot for public events and EP's and I started thinking about why I initially fell in love with the gun during the Beta. For me, it had nothing to do with the sun'splosion and I never thought twice about it's stats. I fell in love with the beauty of the gun and the awesome firing animation. Every shot causes explosions of light to vent from the holes in the cylinder, as if the gun is struggling to contain the power within. The barrel gets hotter with each shot, until the whole front of the gun glows cherry red with heat.
I feel like the Sunshot was a gun with massive potential, but somewhere along the line Bungie lost their initial vision of the gun and had to keep it balanced. The explosion radius increase feels more like a band-aid than a lore-friendly update. Looking at the firing animation, the damage archetype it's in, and finally the small magazine size; I felt like I understood what the Sunshot was supposed to be. A gun that can only handle 8 shots before overheating, but increases in damage the hotter it gets.
If I could go back and redesign the Sunshot, I would give it a 10 round magazine and I would increase it's damage 2% with each shot (60 on the first shot, 71 on the last shot). The sunsplosion would still proc on all kills, but enemies caught in the explosion radius would take burn damage. This would match the aesthetic of the gun to the exotic ability, where it's ramping up to it's full potential as it gets hotter.
How would you redesign the Sunshot beyond just adding a magazine increase? Today I'm making a poll so you all can weigh in and let me know your ideal mag size.

even though the stats of Sunshot outclass Beter Devils, it still has a worse FEEL than Better Devils does.

This fine weapon is good as is. If you can't make it work with you then it's not meant for you. It's plain and as simple as that.

I have to say I agree with you, but If they do this You, sir, should get an unique armor set, for only you, that makes you look like a crusader. An exotic, called Sun’s Crusader that buffs sunshot. Also, just for you.

Honestly stop tbh... who actually cares. Like sure, if it had 1 or 2 extra bullets, cool, thats completely fine with me. But the gun isnt bad as it is, its pretty good. Its never gonna be a dps power house so why do you care THIS much about a slight buff. You're just taking attention away from the actual problems this game faces. Of course you are free to post whatever you want but after the FOURTH -blam!-in post you need to stop.

I hate the fact that I constantly feel as if I need to reload the gun.. 10 or even 12 bullets for an EXOTIC handcannon would be ideal. I think the catalyst should have added more to the mag as well as the range and stability.

When I use this gun I always use golden gun’s chains of woe to make up for the unforgiving clip size. But still it needs a buff.

I think 10 would be good since I feel like I burn through ammo at the current size.

Sunshot needs a more damage buff and more stagger currently it sounds better than it hits... Needs to hit more like it sounds.. Make it more stable and maybe like graviton upon 2nd hit more damage also enemies take more damage with lingering burn... Talk about deadly...
