Firstly, Bungie does deserve some credit for [b][i]finally [/i][/b]giving us a roadmap of changes to expect and being somewhat transparent. Just keep it up if you want to garner some respect from the community. To the point, with Chris Barrett vaguely announcing Weapon Archetype Improvements (yes, I know it's 8-9 months away and subject to change), people are getting the idea, and Chris himself is hinting at, the game returning to the D1 weapon system. You're now at a crossroads. This fork is what separates good, caring devs from the rest - [b][i][u]managing expectations.[/u][/i][/b] If you have no plans to return to the D1 system, get the word out [b][i][u]NOW!![/u][/i][/b] Good businesses get [i]in front of [/i]potential disasters, not wait for it to blow up in their face. Cozmo, dmg04, light a fire Deej's ass to actually manage this community and it's expectations, not let them run wild only to be disappointed down the road. That's what gets you where you're at now. Get Deej to make a statement before Chris or anyone else tweets about reminiscing of the old days, or you allow another Youtuber to postulate what every little tweet means. Mysterious doesn't work when your fan base is in riot mode. Transparency and elaboration is what you need right now, not vague statements. Yes, I know, everything is subject to change," but don't hide behind it or use it as an excuse to let people's [i]expectations [/i]run rampant. People are getting excited about the possibility of this. Don't let them down by teasing it then not delivering it. They'll hate you for it. But, the fan base [b]will[/b] respect you more if you talk [b][i]to[/i][/b] them about it, rather than apologize after the fact because you let them think it was happening. Get in front of this. Don't wait for it to blow up in your face. Your move.
