To be fair, the taken did have completely different abilities and behaved drastically different when compared to their non taken counterparts.

Also because the only planet we find Hive on is Titan, and they didn’t get a ton of screen time. Also my fault for assuming that Nezarec was a Hive god. I don’t really watch other people’s lore videos and I make my own theories on what things in the game mean. Edit: I think he still is a Hive god, considering the description on the helmet. Or a Darkness fallen Guardian.

It won’t be 2 new races, maybe 2 new types like the cabal dogs. The boss mentioned in the leak is a hive god like Oryx, we’ll be fighting hive for the millionth time.

<Dafuq, Nezarec isn't Hive. Then again the Tenebrae are technically allied with the Hive, but I don't know how the Darkness will react with the Hive's more recent failures.>

Honestly, I’m actually ok with fighting the hive again. They are my favorite race, and they got a bad rap for D2, only being on Titan.

I think they're getting it confused with Nokris, Oryx's other son who apparently got himself erased from time by the Vex, but still exists within the Dreadnought throne world. They wouldn't mention him in TTK if he wasn't going to have a pivitol role somewhere down the line. As for Nazerec, I need to read up more...

<I still believe that Nokris is Oryx's dad. Vex erasure isn't complete so it wouldn't make sense why Nokris would have no mention in the World's Grave unless he came and went before it. The Vex incursion was presumably after its creation.>

Hmmm. Could be. There was no mention of Oryx's fathers name in the Books of Sorrow. Only that he had a dead worm as his familiar...

Nazerec is thought to be Nokris. Like how Oryx changed his name as he ascended. Nazerec has supposedly ascended higher than the light and Darkness as well.
