News Story: Guardian Found Dead In The Last City

Editor: DarkChildOfLight, The Last City Times. Citizens of The Last City were shocked to find the dead body of a female hunter in the early hours of the morning. It was first thought that the guardian had commited suicide, a common practice among broken and cowardly guardians. However, this has now been ruled out as the cause of death now that video evidence has come to light. Local police have released a security video tape which captures the moment of this honourable guardian's murder, at the hands of a male guardian and another unknown accomplice. View at your own discretion.[/i] The New Monarchy has confirmed that the deceased is a decorated veteran guardian of The Vanguard, who has served with The New Monarchy itself, as well as the Future War Cult. Friends and family of the late guardian have left tributes nearby the crime scene. One card reads, "May your light guide you beyond this world. You pushed back against the darkness, but the darkness was patched. Now you have been pushed off and we cannot patch you back. We will not forget you. Rest In peace, forevermore." The Last City Times contacted officials at the Tower on the subject of morale, crime and suicide among guardians, which has risen significantly in the recent months. The Speaker declined to comment any further than his signature quote, "I could tell you..." Police are appealing for witnesses to the event. The suspects remain at large.
