Everyone's damage resistance increases when they activate their super. Why is this news to you?
English
-
Golden Gun is the only super that a actually takes time to activate and meanwhile doesn't give you any sort of damage resistance boost.
-
Wrong. Titan smash has to lunge first defender has to do the animation where he jumps and then places the shield down blade dancer has to do the spin first nova bomb stalls in the air while you aim it and sunsinger clenches his fists before you can move after reviving or activating it. Learn what you're talking about.
-
Are you retarded? Can you read? I said Golden Gun is the only one that has to activate AND DOESNT GIVE YOU DAMAGE RESISTANCE. All others do. Although blade dancer, radiance and golden gun aren't nearly instant activation-instant kill. They require you to look/aim. Fist of Havoc just lunges you which is instant. Nova Bomb is essentially the same although the damage resistance isn't as crazy as FoH and takes slightly longer.
-
Yawn another hunter crying. Cool story. Every super gains damage resistance while activating. I know that for a fact. My friend popped his gg while 3 people were shooting him. Under normal circumstances there's no way he could have survived. He killed 3 people while they were all shooting at, and hitting him. Now stfu baby. It's called a super for a reason.
-
What kind of perks does your friend use? Golden gun does not give extra damage resistance. All other supers do but GG doesn't.
-
It does but only when you're first activating it.
-
I'll have to check that out. Either way that's useless because the GG is only effective after activating, obviously. So even if it does increase resistance, it's not noteworthy at all.
-
No. You're wrong, really. I chiefly play as a hunter, but I've both been killed, and have killed hunters both in the middle of GG activation and while it was active. I even took the time to see if my health bar slowed down depleting while I was activating it under fire. No change.
-
So the fact that it's possible to die while using it is proof you get no resistance. Maybe you should google what resistance means. It doesn't mean immunity.
-
Sure. I know what it means. But I'll take it slowly, so you understand. It take more bullet to kill flaming man with burning balls and wings. It take many more bullet to kill man of stone in the purple bubble. It take less bullet to kill flaming man with burning owie-maker.
-
Let me take it slow for you Impeded one. Just because one class has more damage resistance does not mean you have none. Unlike the other classes you can traverse the map with your super looking for targets. So stop crying and go back to eating paste bitch.
-
You basically just said that I trade damage resistance for duration and flexibility. Sunsinger can move around too. (can even increase duration, though it's fairly short in unaltered state. Bladedancer as well, though not as long. Both of those can/do get a considerable damage bonus. If I take 4 shots to kill a normal player with a machine gun, the same amount of bullets will take down a GG at any point. Initiation as well as duration.
-
I said you trade "some" damage resistance for mobility. That's to keep the class balanced with the others. No it's not perfect. Nothing bungie does is perfect point is though you do get above average health. I've put 3 shots into golden gun guy before with invective at very close range. 1-2 bullets kills normal guardian. Explain the third shot since there's "no" resistance for gg.
-
Shotguns, particularly invective, which up till the recent update was a really fast firing gun, with little stability. You can't rely on it, nor most other shotguns to yield a reliable amount of damage. I'm putting it up to bad luck that you had to fire three times. You could have misjudged the range too, couple of pellets miss their mark, and he's still not dead. Come back after you've used a more reliable weapon on this thing. I've killed and not killed Warlock Sunsingers up close with shogtuns before. Failing one does not mean that its a universal rule that 2 or three shots don't take them down. Sure, they can have the damage resistance perk, but then they can't self resurrect. And if you encountered him/her and noticed just how mutch damage they did. You can deduce that they were using that particular perk. For a GG, though, three headshots with TDYK will kill 100% of the time.
-
Lol I love it when people pull bullshit out of their ass because they know they're wrong. You can easily still two shot someone activating golden gun with a sniper and it's perfectly possible for one person to gun down it during activation with any other gun. It does not gain damage resistance. That is a fact. Now stop being a -blam!-ing little bitch and making shit up because you're 12 and hate being wrong.

Editado por Lord Apathy 2pt0: 1/1/2015 9:38:05 PMCool story. Since it's so easy go find proof. Should be readily available then huh? In my clips you can see me killing golden gun. Often ones it takes 2 point blank shotguns. Guess what.... That's 2x more than it takes to kill a normal person at point blank range.
-
Can you give me a link to this video?
-
Yeah look at my profile and look for no soup-er for you. It's a mixed clip of super fails against me.
-
Er even if GG gains damage resistance during activation, what good is that? 3 people shooting your friend won't just stop shooting once the resistance is gone. As soon as that resistance (which I'm fairly sure doesn't exist) has worn off you will just drop like a fly before you can fire that first shot off. It's why hunters activate their supers around a corner first so they aren't left stranded as a free kill. It's the weakest super in the game (thinking about damage resistance) because it's one of the most powerful supers in the game. It sacrifices defense to improve offense. Can aim the super, take it with you, carefully target 3-4 players. Others like FoH can only be aimed a small distance, will only hit whoever happens to be there, and cannot move around with it active, but gains very high defense. I'd say it's a fair trade and the supers are all fine, of course some people will always want to complain that one class is more powerful than another, it's just how it is. What one lacks in one area another will be strong in.

I don't think he hates being wrong. It's just a troll, and the more you show it getting to you the more shit he's gonna make you feel. I agree with you, I am a hunter myself, and it all good. You'd be flat out moron not to see it.
-
Oh he's not getting to me. After nearly 7 years on this site I know how people are. I just come out as aggressive/mad when people go full retard.
-
Editado por Shinato: 1/1/2015 9:05:27 PMNot Gold Gun. FoH is just too drastic of a resistant boost compared to the other subclasses and in my opinion is unfair since striker subclass gets shoulder charge and it is a one shot anyway.
-
I think you can have the damage resistance OR sholder charge, not both since they are in the same slot.
-
The increased resistance is redundant. Maybe used as insurance to not get nova bombed/gold gunned mid FoH.
-
If you get titan smashed you're playing wrong. It's easily avoidable and yes golden gun gets a damage increase but not for the entire duration. Only when you first pop it.
