Bungie does not handle the retail of the game. You will have to contact the retailer from which you purchased the game.

I still have the redemption code available to use. The problem is that the purchase came through my credit card and not the redemption code. Just need the refund back on the card and to use the redemption code to download the Expansion Pass

Understood, but you will have to contact the company that charged your credit card to discuss a possible refund. Bungie did not charge your credit card. If you purchased the game directly from your console, your retailer is Microsoft or Sony.

Xbox said that this is an in game purchase and that Bungie is the only one that could refund this.

Then that is Microsoft telling you they will not issue a refund. We don't purchase the game from Bungie. They don't handle retail. They have no record of our transactions. The only place you can possibly get your money back, is from the retailer you purchased the game from.

You need to contact Microsoft customer support. If the purchase was in fact accidental, and you do indeed have the code they'll work with you.
