Will our current destiny gear become obsolete?
Wondering if our current weapons and armour that we spent hours playing for, and grinded to upgrade, are going to become obsolete with the expansion?
It seems as if some of the leaked info about new items suggests they will have higher attack and armour levels. If this is the case will our current gear be upgradable or will it become redundant?

I mean.. the only thing that's holding them back is a single number, it's not like other MMO's where the gear get astronomically better with each new expansion. with escalating numbers of percs, # of enchantments, new "slots", etc. Hell, taking newer gear into older area's isn't even an advantage! bringing Crota weapons into the vault of glass, despite the higher attack (which won't account for anything in this case), will be a disadvantage over using the vault of glass weapons. Same deal, even if VoG weapons had the same attack as Crota weapons, you'd still want to use the crota weapons in the Crota raid due to their perks specific for that raid. The only difference is, if Iron banner rolls around again, your forced to use Crota weapons, when if we could raise the Glass weapons (by I don't know, raising the attack via a quest or crota raid specific mat), it only opens up more options. Options that in all other game modes are already balanced. Attack doesn't raise damage, it prevents damage penalization. What ever happened to building out own guardians and customization? please don't force us into MMO Fashion trends! be better!

Not completely sure, but I heard exotics will become upgradable so you can get to lvl 32 with the current ones we have. The other gear and weapons won't be upgradable I don't think.

1 RespuestaCompared to the newer gear, yes. Other than that, you'd only be 2 levels below any level 32 enemies (if there are any anywhere other than the raid) so it's not a [i]huge[/i] deal. It'll be like being a 28/29 right now.

3 RespuestasYes they will in dlc you can hit 31 with legendary gear (not raid) so that sux I finally get 3 30s and its pointless

Every exotic will be upgradeable to the DLC's gear's level. Legendaries not so much... :(

The weapons? No. Vex, Fate Bringer and so on will be still good, but the armor will be redundant, sure.
