i got The Last Word :) the past friday, so i will grind away at Vanguard Tigers until i reach rank 2.

Frankly, what keeps me going is the idea that there will finally come a time where I can play this game without caring about what RNGesus hands me, that I'll just love looking at my character and goofing off and just going around to help people out rather than care about whether or not there's a reward. When that time comes, I'll be quite content to do whatever-- Though in the mean time, any extra effort never seems worthwhile. The idea of becoming the "Legend" that I want to be has driven me far. I came into this knowing I wanted to wear the full Iron Regalia plate, its bulky, ostentatious design and wolf motif very much to my liking. Regal, yet fierce. Beautiful, yet functional. I wanted to sport it in all black, to add a layer of both mystery and an even sharper edge to the already awesome mix. I set my sights on the Insurmountable Skullfort helmet with the knowledge that it, being all black, would blend well into the mix, its design reminiscent of an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper helm being quite to my tastes, and that the wolf visible within the void of the visor would likely mesh well with the theme, so that those who looked upon me in the field of battle would stare not into the eyes of a man, but into the deep nothingness of Death, knowing that it was stalking its prey, and longed to sink its fangs in and taste their blood. I set my sights on Red Death, too, long before the game's release. Normally, burst-fire weaponry is not my preference, but Red Death is surely an exception to the rule-- Yet I thus far lack it. I've chased Strange Coins for hours on end, the last time Xur having come to the Tower having been denied it by virtue of needing a mere two. A weapon with an assault rifle stock, coated in the blood of my foes, tick marks stamped on the side to make clear that I have taken many lives. A great bayonet lugged along the underside of the weapon, to make clear that if you are my foe, I wish not simply to see you die, but to see you go down screaming. My secondary weapon is largely at liberty to change, though my personal preference is for the Invisible Hand M7 Shotgun. This shotgun shares the name of a ship in a story I once participated in, which went down and resulted in the loss of many lives as a complete disaster. Given that I often equate my character in Destiny to being much akin to my character there, and I feel almost certain that this was an intentional reference on Bungie's behalf given that said story was Halo-related, I feel a certain obligation to use it. However, Praedyth's Revenge often accompanies me to put down pesky bosses, and a few Fusion Rifles depending upon the situation for their power. Joldur's Hammer often accompanies me as my Heavy Weapon of choice. Rocket launchers tend to be rather ineffective in my personal opinion, but Joldur's Hammer will pound the nails into the coffin of any foe I so choose, be it from the lowest Dreg to Prime Servitor, from the footsoldier Goblins to Atheon himself during those rare trips into the Vault of Glass. While I may not field this weapon often save for bosses, when I drop the Hammer, it's to drive a stake straight into the heart of my foes. I cruise about the Solar System in the [i]Birth of History,[/i] a ship whose very command is to [i]go forth and conquer,[/i] its design reminiscent of a flying tank, its massive engines proudly boasting the sigil of the Iron Lords. All those who I have flown with have seen this vessel and known awe at its arrival. Those who have stood against it would no doubt know dread. This was my grand design, my own personal Legend. This is what's kept me going. The idea that some day, I will be able to fulfill my design, to become the vicious yet regal warrior that people speak of in reverence or fear, that people might call upon when they seek help or flee from if he has dropped in on them with the intent to strike. This week will allow me to complete part of my routine from the sounds of it, though unfortunately, I'm becoming disillusioned by the fact that Xur won't bring my helmet or rifle, and RNGesus has forsaken me. So, for the time being, I sit and wait for the day I will finally become who I am meant to be-- And on that day, I fear for my foes.

What keeps me going ... The fact that I haven't gotten an exotic drop or reward yet, so just hopes and dreams of seeing one drop someday

Getting rejected for hard raid runs. (2 level 29 characters).

I like running normal raid with my 30s with players that are new to the raid just to help out. It's exciting to hear them get good drops. Like being a dad on Christmas. But other than that, Tuesday's keep me going.

The thing that keeps me playing is the fact that there is always someone you can help. Need 9 coins because xur has your dream exotic? I'll help! I also play to get to level 30 because it gives me an excuse to want to play the raid.

My friends. More specifically, doing casual, simple tasks like running patrols, finishing bounties or plowing through Tiger Strikes with my buddies. Catching up with them, shooting the breeze about random topics, joking around. It makes the grind much more bearable. Also, being able to fly solo and do things at MY pace is also therapeutic at times.

Upgrading all my fav weapons and getting my 2nd character to lvl 30 to be ready for whatever the DLC brings

-Friends -The next party chat. -Finding multiple outfits for my guardians to wear. These are based on looks only or functionality. -Trying out different weapons I normally wouldn't use. I limited some if my characters to certain weapon types -Maxing out my Grimoire Score. -Learning how to get tons of medals in PvP. (Haven't been doing this but it's on my list)

You'll start a positive thread? Well I'll throw some negativity in there. Lol I don't play this game anymore. I'm done. Damn glitches ruined my chance for a flawless run. With dragon age right around the corner, I'll only play destiny for coins and to see what I can get from Xur. At least there isn't any damn glitches in the strikes...
